Fantastic overall at brunch last Sunday
Staff music style and especially the food! Flavors are complex and each speaks up, no muddling here. Salmon cake has great texture and a surprisingly light fresh flavor and the wasabi hits it perfectly. The spring salad adds a bright zest to each bite. Lemon pepper jam in my vodka was new to me and a deliciously balanced sweet and heat. I want to try about 8 more things and will come hungrier next time!

Could you add some food to that salt please?!
I recently went there with 2 friends. The staff are nice enough but the service is slow and not very attentive. Two of us ordered the fish which we had to send back because all we could taste was the salt. The portions are tiny by any standard. The meat dishes seemed a little more substantial but not overly so. My friend had his wine glass taken away while there was still wine in it and without even being asked if he would like another glass. I really want to like this place because I want to support local business. This is my third time here and I always leave feeling the same way - disappointed.

What?
When I went mid-week, it was not that crowded yet it was extremely loud. My friend and I were screaming at each other. The food was a little too salty.

kicked from table!
A long overdue review...went here this past August with the BF for an early dinner mid-week, restaurant was not very crowded. Was looking forward to the food, but had heard from friends that they hurry you along to move the table, which is exactly what we experienced. Each course came out back to back, with hardly a breather. Wine glass was constantly refilled (big pet peeve of mine)...I don't want to be force fed my $45 bottle of wine. Food was in fact mediocre, with way overcooked vegetables. To top it off, after our record fast 3-course meal (45 minutes no joke!!) they asked us to move from our table to the bar, when we STILL had wine left in our bottle (after sternly telling them to stop pouring it out). It would be one thing if we had been languishing at the table for 2 hours, but it not even been one. Will never be back.

Noisy but tasty
Smaller portions for the price (imho), but high quality taste and ingredients make it worthwhile. Very high noise levels - comfortable conversation at the table all but impossible, and had to more or less shout at waiter to be heard.

Delicious Brunch
I wondered upon this place and was very happy I did. The portions were not big(but very satisfying - no leftovers) and the prices were not cheap(2 people for brunch with drinks was $70!) but the it was worth every penny. Nice decor. It would be a great date spot. Enjoy!

a gem off Flatbush Avenue
We went to this place after a friend's recommendation and it was delightful. The appetizers were good, but all our entrees were excellent, and accompanied by reasonably priced good wine. The service was a bit slow, especially after the place got crowded, and the noise level is a bit high, but the ambiance is pleasing, and they have a nice full bar. Definitely a good addition to the Flatbush area, which is getting better and better.
