Jalapeno

Whenever we want to order Mexican, we call Jalapeno. Definitely far better than most around our area and really great value. Also the delivery is prompt and friendly.

Drinks better than food!

the service here is amazing, far above and beyond most NY restaurants. The manager cares and is friendly and it shows in the training of the staff. The food is slightly better than mediocre. The bottomless brunch is the best deal going.

My husband and I order burritos from here all the time. They include fresh and tasty ingredients and always satisfy! We've also dined in for a "fancier" fare and were equally as happy with it. Puzzled as to why they've been given so many mediocre reviews!

Simply, the food is not good. Maybe their tacos/burritos are better than what we had, but then they are just a common joint, not a real restaurant like they pretend to be. The guacamole tasted like it came from a package, the "warm chips with spice" were not warm and had Old Bay dumped on them, and the beans looked like a can of refried. The descriptions on the menu sound great, but nothing vaguely resembled these claims. The pork shank was not crispy on the outside, and very tough on the inside, definitely not "fork tender", and the chicken was barely edible. Even the rice was a poor showing. The seating is poor too, the diners next to you are literally part of your dining experience. Don't waste your money.

I have never been so poorly treated in a restaurant in NYC. Having spent close to $100 on just drinks and appetizers; I was asked repeatedly; when are you going to order (your entree)? Do you want the check? Over and over. Then the waiter explained to us, to our dumbfoundedness, that he had to turn the tables over. No regret, just a rude proclomation. The food wasn't even close to the level, which was advertised. And, I will never, obviously, spend my hard earned money there.

I ordered tacos and they were average at best. There was no salsa verde with them which is listed on the menu
