Holy Guacamole
This place consistently has the MOST delicious guacamole! Perhaps the best I've ever tasted...not to mention the enormous size of the portion! The tortas are awesome as well. Do yourself a favor, put down that Subway sub and order some Jalapeno Deli!

Hidden Treasure en El Barrio
I ordered delivery from Jalapeno deli based on the reviews I saw here and was NOT disappointed. The guac is freshly made and SO delicious. I ordered a Quesillo Torta (because I am a vegetarian) and it was delicious and filling. This is quite a feat for a vegetarian sandwich. The delivery took a really long time but the end result made it worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and check this little treasure out.

must try
These tortas are outstanding. Not only the best in the neighborhood, the best in NYC. The Al Pastor is to die for and the guacamole puts Mom's to shame. Have it at least once and you'll be back for more.

Killer mexican sandwiches
Truly excellent (and big) Mexican sandwiches here- both the tortas and cemitas are amazing. Agree with the previous review that the pechuga de pollo (chicken cutlet) makes an great sandwich filling. The carne enchilada (spicy pork) is also outstanding. The specials (moles, enchiladas, etc.) are also delicious, and come in generous portions.

Good authentic Mexican food
I have been going to this deli since i moved to this neighborhood. Though the interior is lacking it makes it up in the delicious food. The "Tortas"(also known as mexican sandwiche) are the best. I recommend the Breaded Chicken Tortas with everything. Also, the Shrimp a la diabla are amazing... just be careful since they are truly spicy. Overall good authentic home made mexican food!
