    Do not try!!

We ordered take out, and requested extra broccoli in both of our entrees for which they charged us $3 each(which I was fine with). But when the food came, there was no broccoli or veggies and the pad cashew had no cashews. When we called them to complain, they kept insisting that they put broccoli and made no mistakes. We told them to take our food back and they refused and won't give us a credit either. The service was ridiculous and their behavior to their errors even worse. We ended up ruining our dinner with disappointing food, ruining our mood and night. Refuted the cc bill.

    Not Happy!

Have been to Jaiya several times for lunch, and a few times for dinner. Although the atmosphere is great, the food quality is declining fast. I often have entrees there even during lunch, but have noticed that the quantity and overall freshness seems suspect. Also, for take-out, service is very slow. They say it should take 15 minutes, but I have waited for close to 40 minutes twice, after which, I stopped walking over to get my lunch. Overall, nice place for a quick meal, but I'm definitely going to give it a miss if the food quality doesn't get better.

    Service and Food Quality Decline

We've been going to Jaiya for years but after renovation, we noticed a decline in service and food quality. Last week, Friday night, was the second time we had food that was too salty and the waitress was in a hurry to clean up our table for the next seating. In another occasion, my guest was so disgusted because the waitress told us to get up because the next sitting is ready. We will not go back there again.

    Small portion, little flavor

Looked forward to trying this place since they made-over their menu. Unfortunately, most of their "vegetarian" options contain oyster sauce and they won't accommodate requests to exclude it. The Jungle Curry w Tofu had a little spice, but zero flavor and with the exception of a few squares of fried tofu, there was nothing to it.... the rest was bamboo shoots. I was expecting better for the price, especially when they charge you for white rice. The spring rolls were disappointing IMHO (should have listened to another reviewer). But if you like low quality pungent mushrooms, you might enjoy them. The Thai tea was small with lots of ice. I was starving after my meal and ended up going elsewhere to pay for another dinner. The new decor is the best thing I can say about this place, but that's no where near enough to get me back there.

    Good but not Great

I went to Jaiya three times to eat lunch. The beef pad thai was excellent. I would go back just for that. The service was subpar, we had to remind the waiters that we had been waiting for our food for more than 35 minutes. The place looks amazing so waiting there was not that bad but they should really improve their service.

    used to be good

Don't bother with Jaiya now. They raised the prices, changed the lunch special. The springrolls used to be the best in nyc now they are average. used to have authentic thai food and now have conformed to the rest of the thai joints in the area after the remodel, which for some reason always happens. i hate when places do this.

    Can't wait to go back!

I recently went to Jaiya on a Sunday night and had the best time. The hostess and waitress were both very sweet and attentive. The drunken man noodles I had were amazing! The atmosphere was warm and romantic and all of tables were full! I highly recommend this restaurant.
