    Found a gem.

Interesting to read all the negative reviews. I have been twice and about to go a third time tonight. I am a Thai food fanatic and literally have eaten in over 50 different Thai restaurants around the US. At least, 10 different places in NYC alone. I have had great food at Jaiya, especially the Tom Ka soup and the green papaya salad. Slow, inattentive service? Really? I have found fast, efficient, courteous service even the one time when the place was packed. Sorry to the folks who do not share my enthusiasm.

    Authentic Thai

I love this restaurant. I haven't been to the NYC location in a couple months, but used to frequent that, and the Long Island location all the time. The tom ka soup is great, and I literally crave the whole fried snapper in curry sauce. Its incredible. Ive seen some recent reviews that the portions have gone down and price up, and I can't speak to that, but I do know that every time I've eaten here I've really enjoyed it.

    Great food

I live in Gramercy and order from here all the time. The service is really fast and I really love the food esp. the Pad Thai and the Chicken Satay. I am really surprised to read all the negative reviews about this place; not sure what the fuss is all about. Cheers.

This used to be my go to thai in curry hill. No longer. The service is less than poor, the portions have shrunk while prices have increased inordinately and, to add insult to injury, what little food there is is over-salted. Stay away. Far away.

    Best thai in curry hill

I live right down the street, and order jaiya take-out on a weekly basis! The green and red curry are the best I have had in the city, and in an neighborhood with so many thai restaurants this is saying a lot! Be careful not to order too spicy!

i put in an order (over the phone) and gave them clear instructions for delivery... long story short, the lady taking the order sent my food to the wrong apartment. now, an hour and a half later i am waiting for my food + the delivery guy is not availble. they are waiting for him. jaiya's food has gone downhill bigtime, yet they have raised prices. add to that their inability to process an order in a reasonable amount of time combined with ZERO effort made to rectify their mistake. unbelievable. i am taking my business to other thai places in the neighborhood, lesson learned. Do not order from here!!
