Fun place with interesting food
Difficult to tell which cuisine it represents, but very ingenious courses with excellent quaility. Nice young crowd.

Best Mac & Cheese
Went to this place not to long ago, was so not in the mood to eat but after taking bites of the Mac n cheese I just could not stop it was so amazing, we also had order this honey chicken with grits and anything with grits is amazing!!! We also had two drinks which mine tasted water down but was whatever, the service I had to say really sucked, we were seated really fast on a busy day so that was nice but seriously waited 35 mins to be given our silverwear and we never received water, the host kept looking at us but never ask if our Waiter had seen us, so I took it upon myself to get up and ask a waiter who's is ares then finally a man showed up, other then the service this place is really good, I'm make trips all the time to the upper west just to eat here.

Great beer and bar food
Tons of comfort food will get you through a nice session of domestic brews. I really liked this place and plan to head back there often.

Great UWS Addition
I've been on the UWS for so long that I can admit being slightly bored after being spoiled and trying almost all of the restaurants in the neighborhood. A frequent complaint of my boyfriend is the lack of beer selection at most bars and for the first time we found a place with great beer and great food. The one disappointment was that the hostess said we would be waiting for 20 minutes, which turned into 40 minutes. But once seated, our waitress was incredibly attentive and took our order, cleared our plates, and was available in spite of the incredibly crowded restaurant. The music, at first, was really uncharacteristic of the vibe and tended to be a lot of club music at too high a volume. I ordered the honey chicken sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the sausage gravy and they were both amazing. Unfortunately the biscuit was a bit hard, but the majority of it was soaked in honey or gravy, so it went unnoticed mostly. The grits were so creamy and generous in portion and the fried oreos were awesome. This was certainly a memorable date night, taken out of the routine of UWS dining.

meh. good atmosphere, food not so great
great overall feel and spirit, great cocktails - thumbs up to the rosemary vodka lemonade! i so wanted to love the food. It was disappointing. We've gone twice to make sure we didn't have an off night the first time. Grits were FABULOUS on 1st visit! I dreamed of them and tried to recreate at home. was really looking forward to them, and ugh! lumpy and soupy drippy on 2nd visit - so disappointed, could not get attention of manager to ask why. Chicken club has great chicken but is on a big dry biscuit and hard to eat with gross lettuce tomato mush. Friend was excited to try liver jam with various compotes, ate one bite and said "ick" and then we finished our drinks and went to another place for her to eat. Fried pickles were good, though brined pickes were sweet, not dill. We saw two separate people order the pickles and reject them, we did, too. Not good. like sweet pickles with too much clove? Overall? i will go back again for a drink, ask for just chicken no biscuit no grits. also i will get take out, as bar seats are tricky and uncomfortable and squeaky. Sorry, Jacob's Pickles, I really want to love you.

Best Food on The UWS!
Hands down, my new favorite eatery on the Upper West Side. The staff are super friendly, and the owner (Jacob) makes you feel like you are family, and not just a random customer. I've already been here 3 times in a month, and have yet to be disappointed. The selection of beer is A+, the pickles are amazing, and the chicken sandwich w/ honey is to die for.

Awesome food and staff!
I absolutely loved this place. The chicken with mushroom gravy and the fried pickles are awesome. I also loved the mixed pickles, especially the beets which had cinnamon in the pickling spices. Weird but awesome. Also, we went with a huge group and the waitress handled our party with ease. She even gave us free fried oreos at the end!
