    Great Burgers

I really love the burgers here, the desserts and shakes were great too. But don't expect much from the fries, they're steak fries and are soggy and unsalted but some ketchup, salt and peeper will take care of that. The prices are amazing especially for the quality.

    soggy grey hamburger

hambers should be crispy on the outside. mine looked like it was cooked in soggy oil and kept warm. be sure to say how you want your hamburger cooked. People were very nice to us though.

Not the Best Food Experience of the Decade

We frequently order burgers from many UWS places, and each one has its own approach that makes the food enjoyable in its own way. This evening, Shake Shack was packed so we walked up the street to Jackson Hole to give it a try. What a mistake. This is the worst food I can recall being served in a NYC restaurant -- ever! No point going into the details. Reheated, subpar ingredients, inept short-order preparation, mealy textured, bland, fatty, and literally sickening. The coleslaw tasted of spoiled eggs and my wife's omelet arrived in a pool of water on the plate with soggy toast. This is the worst.

    yummy

food is great! People complain they are not flavored enough? Then get them with barbacue sauce or something. I love it here!

    Not Impressed

For a supposed institution in Manhattan, this diner really disappoints. First, the quality of the food is pretty low. The pickles and coleslaw that they put out upon our entering were substandard for any diner, with the pickles not being sour enough and the coleslaw being too sweet. I thought that this might be an aberration and decided to go ahead and order the specialty, which is the 7oz burger. Was that ever a mistake! They're able to provide such large burgers because the quality of the meat is so low. The burgers had a strong smell of low grade ground beef. My boyfriend wasn't even able to finish his burger, he was so repulsed. Moreover, even given the size of the burgers, the prices are too high for the quality of the meat. This place is only good if you're drunk and everything else is closed.

    Subpar Burrito

First of all, this wasn't a burrito, it was more of a soggy tortilla - chili sandwich. They slathered beef chili, excessive sour cream, and one-dimensional guac in between two tortillas and didn't even bother to wrap it up! the tortillas were then covered with a half inch of cold but melted cheese and then randomly covered in shredded lettuce. Even the diet pepsi I ordered -- 2.25 and it was in a small paper cup (not even a full can's worth) tasted watered down. I tried to cut it with a fork and knife and the whole thing was just clumps of red bean and mystery meat chili mush. And for 11.50!
