Just ate my JH behemoth burger, it was tasty. The onion rings (due to delivery) were soggy and over battered, I would not reccomend them. I had a burger with blue cheese (they really put a TON on, almost too much), mushrooms, and onions. The burger was huge, the bun was soft and the meat was tasty. Overall, the service was fast, the meal was huge, and it was a 4000 calorie mess! Just avoid the onion rings.

My friend and I ate here looking for a good burger. We came to the right place. We started out with the guacamole, which was excellent, but a tad bit pricey at $8. Excellent chips as well. We both decided to live on the edge and order RARE cheeseburgers. We discovered that there is a very fine line between raw and rare, at least at The Jackson Hole. We had never gone rare before, so a cold center was kind of new to us. To make a long story short, whereas I don't seem to have a problem eating completely raw cow. I'd suggest medium rare at the least, just to make sure it's all warm. It was HUGE and tasty. Will definitely go back.

We eat at Jackson Hole everytime we visit NYC...it's a must! They have the tastiest burgers and onion rings. The pickles are a plus. I wanted to buy a t-shirt to adverstise for them, but they were sold out. Maybe next visit. How 'bout a Jackson Hole in Miami?

It seems most of the poor reviews Jackson Hole receives is due to people with unrealistic expectations. They seem to be expecting a gourmet burger. I went to Jackson Hole with some friends not knowing what to expect, but once you get there the decor should give you a hint. The atmosphere is of a small town eatery that's far removed from fine dining. It screams of simplicity, which is the word I would use to describe their food. A bowl of fresh pickles are served at the table. I ordered a medium burger and it came out cooked just right. Like others have said, it's huge. The patty doesn't contain any fillers, just plain ground meat. For the size of that burger, it isn't as greasy as people claim. The meat they use must be relatively lean (try making a burger yourself and you'll see). It tastes just like a burger should, grilled and beefy. Hard to mess up. The potato salad and coleslaw were both good and most importantly, fresh. Had a root beer float that was quite good as well (yes, you can mess that up). Jackson Hole is excellent if you want simple food made with fresh ingredients at reasonable prices. It's a place to go to satisfy your cravings. Just don't expect fine dining and come hungry and you'll be quite satisfied.

In general I think the food on the UES is subpar, but this place has excellent take out. Turkey burger was amazing, food came quickly and the buns werent soggy! Baked potato wasnt that good, but I guess thats what I get for skipping the fries.

Althought not the best... for vegans. I went there recently for the first time and I am a vegetarian. Any vegetarians knows that there are two kinds of burgers : Soy based or vegetable based. This one has some soy beans (green) but its mostly vegies. The taste was allright, but I don't think one can truly appreciate the gist of it, unless they ate any meat. Coz for vegetarians, its just another place, not Jackson Hole. Fries were yummy!
