Best Burger in the Big Apple!

You will NOT be served a previously frozen burger pattie here. The burgers here are works of art created from freshly ground beef. Flavorful and creative combinations. The restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is great and the service is wonderful!

    Great chicken sandwich

Ordering in -service is quick and my order is always accurate. My favorite chicken sandwich in the city. Burgers are good too, very fresh and good quality. You get a lot of food for the price.

    downhill

i grew up on jackson hole in astoria queens but i must say the food has gone downhill. the food is rushed out by short order cooks and they are sloppy looking and tasting. the fried chicken is a joke. i miss the old days when going to jh was a treat. they need to change the menu and care more about the food. get back to old school diner food!

    Subpar Burger

On 4/12/09 I ordered a Chili Burger Platter to go. I requested the burger to be cooked medium. What I found was dissppointing. The burger was well done & dry with no taste. The bun was soggy on the bottom and uneatable. The top bun had six to eight beans pressed into it and no chili sauce on the burger. The fires were not cooked and were soft and soggy. After tasting the buger it was dispatched into the trash. I did eat the tomatos and lettuce. All of this fcost almost $14.00. Bad day in buger town. I won't be going back anytime soon.

    Surly waiters due to recession...

I have been going here to eat for years but it has been spoiled by the poor service of the waiters who think that they should get more than a 20% tip because they have less business now and that the remaining customers should make up for it. Poor service is not going to bring more customers.

    open late, generous portions, edible

That about sums it up, they're open late, the food is decent, burgers are huge but steamed, which means they're big piles of gray meat that falls apart easily... the fries are those big chunky steak fries, not my favorite. The mexican food here is actually pretty tasty, if terribly greasy. Guacamole is good. Delivers late.

Prices are up and quality is down

I've been a customer for almost ten years. Prices keep going up and quality keeps going down. The burgers are good, if you're dining in, but they do not carry well. No surprise. The salads have not been good lately. Nearly thirteen bucks for a caesar salad with chicken is just too much.
