    Great Food!

The General Saos Chicken was some of the best I ever had in the city. Hey they forgot my Diet Coke, but the chicken was awesome and more then made up for that mistake. Plus they said I would get a soda credit for the future.

A touch more pricey than the competition but the quality is a touch higher. Recommended.

    A Dieters Delight

I need to lose 50 #'s by the summer..The Chicken With Mixed Vegetables is really a great value and great tasting. Its more than enough to get 2 meals out of. Everything is quick steamed, the veggies and the chicken. It comes with 2 sort of dipping sauces, one of which is like a black bean with lots of garlic. I also love the Ribs but they dont love me!!..Enjoy!

it's hard to find good chinese take out. a lot of the time the chicken and beef seem skeptical. so far the items i have ordered from here are better than the other chinese places i've ordered from in the area. plus they're quick and inexpensive.

    chicken and broccoli

The chicken tastes a bit rubbery, but you have to respect a food that puts up a fight. And the broccoli is cooked just right. On the whole, a good amount of food for the money, better than most places in the east village / gramercy.

    Skip it!

The beef was akin to rubber and the broccoli swam in way too much oil. It sure is cheap and the delivery was super speedy, but my diet coke was nowhere to be found. Don’t bother.

Perfect Chinese even for native Chinese

I work in the garment district and have tried many Chinese take-out places over the years. My co-workers and I have finally settled on one perfect place. J East. I have 2 co-workers who are from China and they too love this place. The food is outstanding and the delivery time is unbeatable! Yum!
