Great take away
I work in the neighborhood and was slightly skeptical b/c of the location but the food was fresh, edamame was piping hot and everything was packaged perfectly. The person who took my order was efficient, spoke perfect english and it arrived in under 20 mins. I would highly recommend.

Great sushi!
I was pleasantly surprised with this place. As other reviewers have indicated, the sushi is great and sizably portioned for the price. I was particularly impressed with the Black Dragon Roll. Definitely worth a try!

Great Find!
This place is around the corner from me, but it's kind of hidden so I never knew it was there. I ate in the restaurant for the first time last week, and though the place is really small, it's clean and cute with great, fast service. You can watch the chefs prepare your sushi. I ordered take-out from them today and the service was equally fast, and the sushi was very good. It's very reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be back.

Great taste fine Sushi
This place is a great value with fantastic sushi. We enjoyed it because we got there early and were the only people on a Sunday evening. They do a large take-out business and are verty friendly people. The portion size is twice the usual sushi places we have visited. Great food reasonable price.

Excellent Sushi - Perfect Delivery
I'm a bit of a sushi connoisseur and I give Izumi 9 out of 10 for Manhattan restaurants. I order delivery from them all the time and the sushi is fresh, you get large pieces, and a good selection. The restaurant itself is small and I wouldn't want to dine in, but the food is awesome! Trust me, I'm a sushi snob :)

Not recommended
After ordering take out, we went to pick it up in fifteen minutes, when we were told our food would be ready. After waiting a half hour, we asked about our food. The woman at the desk asked the manager and after another twenty minutes our food finally came out. Also, it's expensive with only four pieces in a roll, and Chinese, not Japanese rice.

A must visit every NY trip we take!
We would give up atmosphere for this sushi any time! The pieces of fish are extremely generous and the freshest that we have ever tasted. Go early before 7:30pm and you're guaranteed a seat. Locals told us about this place and we were skeptical at first when we first saw it, but this is a diamond in the rough, for sure! We are still astonished each time we leave there about the total cost for such freshness and taste - probably the reason we keep going back each time we visit NY!
