Love this place!
This little Izakaya is small, but warm and certainly makes a lasting impression. Every time I come here a feeling is encapsulated that I can't easily describe, its like the Japanese version of Cheers where everyone knows your name. Onto the less abstract ideas, their food, especially their homemade Japanese small plates which are made for sharing are fantastic. I think often the food is misunderstood, I encourage you to ask their staff for recommendations. I was told one time to try something I thought I wasn't going to like and most likely I would, two words: fried oysters. Another great element is their late night happy hour. 2 for 1 sake by the glass per person is probably the best deal in the city. From 11pm until 3 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also discount their shochu bottles by $20 and if you don't finish the bottle they will hold it for you for up to three months. The staff is friendly and respectful and this place is an all around good time, just go in with an open mind and you will be gratified in more ways than one. Head over early as they can get packed some nights.

Highly Recommend Izakaya Ten
Great sushi paired with a great atmosphere. All very traditional Japanese dishes in the best way possible. The staff is terrific and attentive - not to mention sake connoisseurs! Pay a visit as soon as possible.

Excellent
Went here a few weeks ago and loved it. Service could have been better, but the sushi was great.

This little spot
Somehow 10 continues to escape the hordes of freaks that might crash its doors and the wait is never long. The draw is a real neighborhood spot that is stripped of the pretention of the meatpacking while not resorting to just being a local bar. The portions are short but tasty and the sake aplenty. Hani and Bryan serve up a friendly assortment of liquid refreshments. Simply, top spot along side Tiapole also good but with a wait next door.

Can't wait to go back
I ate at the bar this evening. The service was friendly and attentive. The noodles were tasty and I couldn't resist trying some sushi and it was fresh and delicious too. I look forward to going back to try the steak and more fish!

We go every Friday for dinner if we can. Food is always great and the staff is wonderful. It is a cozy place that quickly became our favorite!
