first time visit, and was a bit confused by the flashing xmas lights, the non-japanese (but very good) music and the diner-type menu. but the food is a different story. really fresh sushi and a terrific assortment of authentic japanese plates at affordable prices. we come from japanese stock and had a great meal. it's still byob-which on smith st. makes it easy to do, and keeps the final bill a nice sight. will definitely return.

This izakaya is disappointing. We ordered 4 dishes and they all came with the same version of brown sauce and drizzled mayonnaise with bonito flakes. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're desperate or unable to go to the city - St.Marks to get better izakaya.

great appetizers, good prices. The yaki soba rocks.

Cheap and tasty. Nothing amazing. Slow service. Cute little BBQ pieces -- the chicken skin was my favorite.
