We've been ordering from Ivy's O-I-Shi for years now--me when I'm with my sister at her apt on the UWS, when we're at friends upstairs (a very picky sushi eater), and I always order on my own (when my husband, not a sushi eater, goes out!) It is not high end--but it is a perfect staple for my cravings for chirashi, I love their white tuna (when they have it), they always like the shrimp tempura rolls, the King's Roll, and my nieces also like the Chinese food! After about at least 7 years of ordering, I thought to review! Yum!

I order from this restaurant almost everyday. Compared to the food from Budhabar, or Matsuri etc, they are not that fresh, nor that flavourfull, but certanly are nice. Good, non-fatty chinese food also available. If you are around 70's, go for it. The ambience could be better, but, okay...

This is our neighborhood sushi joint. Sushi always fresh and delicious. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Chinese food here is also very good. If you want a quick meal on a weeknight or a weekend and you are in the 70s...then Ivy's/Oishi is a great place. Bubble teas are also very good. We always get them to go!

I don't expect much from restaurants located on 72nd St, but driven by the sushi shortage in the lower 70s, I tried it with some friends. We were happily surprised at how good the sushi was -- fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. I will definitely be returning. Atmosphere not as fun as Planet Sushi, but sushi comparable to the late Bon 75.
