    Good food, poor service

The location was lovely and the food good and the service what you would expect at any restaurant. Perhaps a bit more aloof. When I had paid my bill I had not realized I had miscalculated by tip and had low balled it accidentally. The waitress sought me out and rudely forced me to correct my tip and give her more. Firstly she wasn't even our waitress, secondly the way she sought out the tip was extremely rude and forceful. The fact that she was impolite, asked for more tip and didn't even thank me after left a really sour taste in my mouth. She did not deserve the tip I left.

    Great Spot

I stumbled upon this restaurant on a recent trip to NYC. It was a great find! I ordered the turkey burger which was delicious and my husband had the goat cheese salad which was also a hit. Our server was very friendly and convinced us to order the fried cheese cake. I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and we ate both pieces. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

    Dont Order Here

This place is horrible. The delivery the past two times has taken an hour and my order is always wrong. The food is horrible and their staff is a joke. They sent my order and the delivery person carried no change. Then they sent him back. My order was incorrect and I called the manager. She did not understand that I was being charged for something I didn't order and didn't even receive. She kept saying to send the food back (this is 2 hours after my order). The food is a joke. The burger is with horrible beef and the fries are strings and mushy. I ordered mozz sticks but they sent these fried balls of macaroni with red sauce? It was horrible the whole meal was a waste of my time. In all thanks Ivy Bistro for wasting most of my night.

    Brunch Spot!

I had a terrific brunch at Ivy's Bistro in NYC. Drove around looking for a place for breakfast/brunch, and this one was open, looked inviting, and while I was looking at the menu the waitress walked to the door and invited me in. Hey, that's service! I highly recommend the traditional Egg's Benedict - it's exactly what I want, with the slight twist that it was a thin slice of ham rather than Canadian bacon. The hollandaise sauce had the lemon tang I expected. The brunch potatoes have peppers, onion, and great seasoning, a little bit of spice. The service was first rate, and they also have a prix fix menu for breakfast that's not a bad deal. They're in Tribeca, and the ambiance was also terrific - a corner table with a view of the river and New Jersey was nice. (Hey, even Jersey looks nice from across the river...) I also liked the photos on the wall - appeared to be mostly Paris, but I'm not certain. All black and white, nicely framed and matted. Classic bistro. Loved it! Highly recommended, worth seeking out. Ivy's Bistro.

    Low key, great value

In a neighborhood where it's tough to find good food that's a good value, Ivy's is a friendly oasis. Fairly straightforward menu but nothing misses the mark. You won't be blown away but you'll never be disappointed either. A dependable mainstay that our whole family enjoys.

    Nice little wine bar

Nice service, not perfect, but just fine for a Saturday morning. The food was good. I had the salmon Benedict with home fries (delicious) with a glass of Sauv Blanc. My boyfriend got the Chicken Parm sandwich which was great! They also have a create a flight thing for $15 bucks. I think that is a great bargain for NYC, so I'll be heading over there for that.

    Best Cobb Salad in NYC...

It's my favorite salad, and Ivy's is the best I've had in the city -- lots of other good things on the menu, too, very happy they are in the neighborhood.
