Over Rated
The Setting: Even though it was a balmy September evening outside, the temperature inside the stark white, almost empty dining area bordered on freezing. Add to this one extremely unfriendly waiter and it made for a rather chilly experience. The Food and Drink: Wine from Santorini was excellent . Kalamarakia appetizer was forgettable, Moussaka was superb. " Fresh Fish Of The Day" was anything but fresh. The Service: Although waiter was not very pleasant, service was extremely efficient. The Bottom Line: Can't say I hated the place but I won't be back.

Better than in Greece
The food here is better then most restaurants in Greece. The chef originally opened Ithaka in the West Village and his following was so strong that diners travelled from the outer boroughs to eat there. Now the same chef relocated to 86th street and his food still leaves me amazed. The grilled Calamari is excellent and the fish soup is famed. Do yourself a favor and eat here. It is easily the best greek food in metropolitan area.

Wonderful Greek Food!
Everything from appetizers to coffee was excellent! The spinach pie was delicious and the chicken/lemon soup was outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive without "hovering". Definitely an "Olympic Winner"!

Outstanding
The service, food and atmosphere worth every penny. If you are not Greek you will leave there feeling like you are.
