Mediocre food, poor value
The Taramosalata and Spanakopita were decent and the oregano fries and Revani were not good... but the shrimp cocktail consisting of 3 small jumbo shrimp for $16 was at least twice the going rate and discouraged me from exploring further.

Excellent!
Always consistent - always excellent! REAL Greek food - wonderful fresh ingredients. Friendly reception --- it's a 'winner'!

Great Greek seafood
Fresh ingredients and dishes. Grilled fish & octopus were tender and flavorful and not over cooked. I love when they debone the fish right in front of you. Staff are friendly and courteous.

Consistent quality & excellence
My wife and I talk about going into the restaurant every time we order for delivery but we never get a chance. It would be nice to finally meet the people who are always so kind and professional over the phone. The delivery personnel are polite and courteous. The food is always amazingly fresh and tasty. You can not go wrong with any of the dishes on this menu. Have a question about the authentic cuisine and the staff gives accurate descriptions of the dishes and if requested will politely steer you towards something delicious every time. I hope this restaurant stays around for a long time.

Amazing again!
This is the third time my husband and I have been here and we can't get enough! The first time, we came alone to celebrate my husband's birthday. Then in June, for our second visit, we brought friends of ours who live up the block, but had never dined there. Now, last night, we took my husband's parents as an anniversary dinner, and they adored it! We seem to always get the same waiter (Kostos), which is great because he is super helpful. Any lamb dish is out of this world, and the moussaka was amazing! We have no complaints and we can't wait to return to bring my parents for their anniversary!

Not worth the money
Me and the wife went here about 5 years ago and enjoyed the food, which was less upscale than it is today, but were annoyed by the slow and surly service. After seeing all the glowing reviews, we decided to give it a second shot. First of all, there are no wines (except retsina) that sell for less than $36 a bottle and the now fancier entrees average about $25. My wife liked her chicken okay, but it was definitely not worth $22. I had lamb stew with a lemon sauce and the vegetables were horribly overcooked and the lamb was tasteless--all for $30. We won't return, even though the service has improved.

Wonderful surprise on the UES
Just ate here last night with a friend after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy and the staff were extremely attentive from the moment we walked in. We shared 3 appetizers, the feta cheese and sliced tomato, tzatziki, and spanakopita, and an entree, the vegetarian plate, and everything was beyond delicious and served in a timely fashion. The restrooms were also clean and well maintained which seems to be a rarity in Manhattan and attests to the quality of the restaurant. Highly recommended! Will be back soon.
