Take out review: Great Pizza not so good Baked Dishes
First time we ordered we got pizza, a little disappointed that there was no pineapple. It was great, the pie was gone in seconds. Next time we ordered stuffed clams, manicotti, and stuffed shells. The marinara sauce they used was extremely salted. We think they used the same sauce for pizza and baked dishes. Good on pizza not good with the manicotti. Stuffed clams were way to oily. But I wasn't expecting much. I haven't found a good stuffed clam in this city yet. Overall I keep ordering pizza. :)

Best Food in town...very reasonable $$
Best Pizza and Food on Upper East Side!!!! I was pleasantly surprised when I took a chance and ordered something other than their great pizza. I had (daily special) veal chop and I LOVED it. Must try this place its been opened for years and the food it always great.

From the area and believe this place to have the best pizza ever. Open late I think till 3am, it makes for the perfect late munchie spot.

I've had better
I tried this place after reading the rave reviews. Not sure what the fuss is about. My advice-try another place.

Classic NY Pizza
I've lived in the neighborhood my entire life and this place reminds me so much of my youth, of quick slices after school before running home to do homework. The crust is tender, but never soggy (particularly towards the center of the pie where it's most prone to floppy moisture) and the sauce is slightly sweet, but not cloyingly so. I always stick to the plain (light on the cheese, 'cause I like more sauce than cheese) but my sister loves the breaded eggplant chunks and the chicken cutlet chunks as toppings. Try it when craving a classic pie with a neither too thick nor too thin crust!

definitely the most exquisit pasta in town
it was my first time in this amazzzzzing plaze.... i ordered a neat plate called eggplant parmigiana - a tasty little dish consisting of 2 raw cut slices of semi-fresh eggplant marvellously covered with small pieces of mozarella (the real parmiggiano) and finished with a hint of plain solid tasty tomato sauce. With it came the most delicious pasta I EVER had - after living several years in italy. It was the famous home made ZITI - also known as PENNE - disturbingly perfect boiled "al dente" - 20 minutes fierce heat followd by approximatly at least 25 minutes of afterboiling - just perfect for people who just lost their teeth. Also this dish was served with the mexican-italian cook's special is-there-a-taste-at-all-tomato-sauce - a dream. But the table water was excellent.

cheese, cheese, and more cheese
pizza is great. just be prepared for a food coma after one slice. crust is very thin but nice and thick along the border. you can't just pick up the slice and bite. i had to use a fork to eat the first 1/3 of it before i was able to pick it up. It's probably a combination of the cheese and the huge sized slices. definitely one of the cheesiest pizza's i've had. garlic knots....not so garlicky. should just be called bread knots.
