We love it!
Great neighborhood spot! We order in from here very often and the food is always great and the delivery is fast. We tried eating in the restaurant in the back and while the food was great as usual, the service was very slow. We've never had something we didn't like. Everything is great!

great UES italian fare
The reason I love this place is the delicious marinara they use. It makes every dish that much better. They even sell it for a reasonable price by the pint. Very generous servings, spacious dining room, with a back room when I want a peaceful lunch away fromt he crowds. The pizza is not bad. Compared to the options in the neighborhood however, it's one of the better choices.

Good Hood Food
This place obviously isn't going to win any James Beard awards but they have pretty good pizza shop take out food, I like their chicken caccitore and calamari fra diavolo. The delivery is fast and the salads are pretty good and simple. Again I wouldn't reccomend a tasting menu here but for quick, passable food it's not that bad. PS, I've never had the pizza form here so I can't comment on it

We love it!! Eggplant Pizza, Salads, Chicken Parm are the best in the city.

Old reliable
I agree the pizza sucks but the pastas, salads and heroes are all great. They use fresh ingredients and promptly deliver. Importantly, they are open late at night when you need a good food fix and diner food won't do. Its not true italian food but seriously, what do you expect from the neighborhood pizza joint? I think for what its worth, its a great place.

This is a great neighborhood place.. I have been going for over 10 years.. Honestly do not understand the greasy pizza comment.. It is good and inexpensive and consistant.. over and over again.. 10 years worth..

A++++ RESTAURANT!!!
I just wanted to reply to the 2 comments left below. I have been ordering food from Italian Village since 1980 and the pizza boxes have not changed. They have always been either a 14" box which is the small, or the 16" box which is a Large. The pies have not gotten smaller. Maybe your stomach is just getting bigger. And as far as "greasy" goes, do you not realize that cheese, sauce, pepperoni and whatever other toppings you put on the pie create grease? No matter what pizzeria you choose to eat from, the pizza will always have grease. ITS PIZZA FOR CRYING OUTLOUD. Its not a heath food store. Realize what you are ordering before you order it. Maybe next time if you choose to order from them again you should ask for the pie a bit well done. Thats how i order it and it comes out fantastic. I do have to add in that this restaurant does have AMAZING heath food dishes such as the Grilled Salmon. The Daily dinner specials are to die for!!!! Dont forget to ask about the Dinner specials when you call for a delivery.
