Isohama

One of the best sushi restaurants around. Very reasonable prices, consisten quality, very friendly service and clean, uncrowded environment bring me back every other week. Isohama I, II & III rolls and shrimp tempura roll are outstanding. Only minor complaint: could use more lighting.

I recommend it to anyone who likes japanese food in general.

We love Isohama - we've become regulars - great neighborhood place - one of the best in the 90s. Fantastic selection, great service, wonderful fresh fish and fast delivery.

I consider myself a sushi snob and have always gone to very high end restaurants for sushi. I stopped in to Isohama one rainy day and split a few sushi pieces and a don-katsu with my bf. It was such a pleasant surprise! The cut of the sushi was so well done, I was savoring the flavor and the freshness of the fish and the really well seasoned rice - and then ordered more sushi. I even thanked the sushi chefs before I left. The katsu was also done better than most japanese restuarants I've been to - very thin, crisp on the outside but preserving the juicy tenderness inside. I've become a regular. The only thing I think they can't do very well is the udon dishes. But everything else in my experience has been outstanding.

Usually very good; North of 86th on the East Side one of the better places. Unfortunately not with out flaws on Saturday Night. Better luck next time I guess.
