Wonders of the Isle
Stumbling upon this place was serendipitous. Spending a girls weekend in New York is a wonderful mini vacation and when we couldn't get into another restaurant we were lucky enough to walk a few blocks and see this wonderful Italian dining establishment. The service was great we had packages galor and they stored them in the back while we ate one of the most delishes and authentic meals of our lives. We talked, laughed and enjoyed every moment and we are planning to return on our next girls trip. I would highly recomend to locals and visitors, truely wonderful food and atmosphere.

Second rate
I wanted to try it as the atmosphere looks so cozy. That is the best part. The food is very bland. You are not getting anything special there.

Frenzied Saturday night
My friend and I intended to have a nice holiday dinner at Isle of Capri, we had made a reservation so we were able to sit in the outer area. We ordered wine, appetizers and our entree. The restaurant started to fill up, this is understandable since it is the holiday season, HOWEVER the owners were the ones to cause chaos. We were barely finished eating when I heard them say to other people, we will have a table in a moment. Both the husband and wife continued to look around, just waiting for you to leave. I still had wine left when he said he will have the table available soon. I have every intention of returning to this restaurant, but not around the holidays.

Better than Grandma's meatballs!
Had dinner there last night as was so pleasantly surprised by the authentic and high quality of the food. Meatballs (not on the menu) as an appetizer were so light and tasty, which is hard to find. Sauce was spot-on perfect. Not too sweet or acidic. Egglplant parm was lightly breaded, thin-sliced long (my personal preference) and fork tender. Big portion gave me left-overs for tonights dinner. Waiter brought a cordial of Lemoncello on the house. Love this place - old-world charm and friendly, attentive service.

Best Restaurant In The Neighborhood
The food is prepared with love and they will prepare anything you want and it always delicious, tasty and fresh. The owners and staff are friendly, warm and attentive. There is no attitude at the restaurant. I have also made a few parties in the private room downstairs and everybody thought it was fabulous. Enjoy!

The Best Food In Town
This is one of my families favorite restaurant we have been eating at this place for over ten years now and never had a bad meal. The food is excellent everything taste fresh and homemade, the portions are very big. The service also is excellent the staff is very friendly. They give you homemade cheese and olives when you sit to start with delicious hot breads and at the end of the meal offer your dessert drink with delicious Italian cookies. I would recommend the Dover Sole or the Pasta Dishes, they have many different specials every night which are always good. This is just excellent restaurant all around, a must try

One of my favorites
I was at the Isle of Capri 8 years ago with my son. We just happened upon it while visiting NY and staying in the neighborhood. We loved it. I made a point of finding it again while on vacation this past June. I took my boyfriend and he still raves about it. The food was fabulous and the wine suggested by the waiter was wonderful.
