Great burger and incredibly hot waitress

Highly recommended. The burgers are thick, juicy and tasty. The milk shakes are only so-so. But the highlight is the waitress - believe me when I say she is awe-inspiring. 35% tip gladly handed over.

    Juicy Burger

I work on 8th and 50th and discovered this burger joint today and man was it Deeelicous. I had to pick my teeth from all the happiness I was feeling after that meal. Medium burger was just right and perfect amount of bleu cheese and onions. Small restaurant, but cute man at the register so it made the small venue work. Highly recommend this for a delicious Manburger!

Best burgers in NYC hands down!

For some reason Corner Bistro in the West Village boasts a reputation for having the best burgers in NYC. That is the biggest lie. Whoever started that rumor was probably completely intoxicated from drinking too many beers at Corner Bistro's bar beforehand. Island Burgers & Shakes has the best burgers in the city, without a doubt. There's no competition. Their burgers are big and juicy and never dry. Delicious!!! Also cheap ($8)! I've been to every burger joint in town and I'm consistently blown away by the Island.

Don't overlook: chicken & great salads

We live in the neighbourhood... While we don't really enjoy eating in (more than a little claustrophobic) we order from here often - at least 2x week. While the burgers are very good, we rarely order them, and instead stick with the fabulous chicken they make. Huge portions. We love getting the various salads (all delicious - my personal fav. is the tabouleh, hubby's is the tommy's phuket). If you get a salad, for only a couple of dollars you can add a chicken breast, which, truth be told is like getting two breasts. The orders always last us for two meals - they're that big. I recommend asking for the chicken in a seperate container, so that it doesn't get the salad hot. If you like chicken sate, the thai chicken breast is heavenly - juicy, huge and wonderful. For dessert you can't go wrong with their famous black and white milkshake. Enjoy - they deliver and are generally quite efficient with the delivery too.

    Decent Burgers Poor Delivery Serivce

Had the Peanut sauce burger. Definitely different and tasty. Medium is def pink and raw. Bottom line thick chunky burger with great taste but slow ass delivery. Not a city final four contender, sweet 16 maybe.
