Disappointed couldn't have been here!
Johnny Rockets in Manhattan stinks! There's no way it or Burger King are anywhere near as good as Island Burger!!

why is this place getting rave reviews? Why? I'll suggest better options (1) Johny Rockets (2) Blue 9 (3) Burger King (I hate fastfood but I think it's better than this place!!!!!)

great burgers
This place has it all for the burger-loving New Yorker: excellent burgers (cooked to your preference), fresh toppings, and quick and accurate delivery service. I highly recommend it.

Wow!
The atmosphere does not tell you anything about the food here. The BEST chicken caesar salad I have ever had! I had the chicken blackened (you can choose from a bunch of different ways to prepare it) and it was delicious. I am so glad they are back (there was a fire in the kitchen and they were closed for a while). Tip: they don't serve beer, but you can bring your own!

Best burger in the city
A burger has to be amazing or it's not worth eating and this one ranks up there with any I've had. And oh God, their chocolate shakes. I've 45 and having burgers and shakes for the first time in my life because of this place. That was never a combo I could appreciate until now. I haven't tried their chicken sandwiches, but if they do burgers this well... Have only eaten in the place once...usually have it delivered. I do remember the service was good and I am someone who appreciates a place that isn't trying to be 'oh so aesthetically special' yet remains appealing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What, no other listings for Island?
Wow, this is one of the better burger palces in New York and there are no other reviews for it?... First, the place is marginally larger than a shoe box, decor is minimal - in a nice surf theme kind of way, and the wait can be long, but the burgers are worth it. Great selection of toppings and breads - if you're into that sort of thing and it's not too expensive. No beer, no fries, but a way shorter wait than at The Bistro.
