Yummy
I was there about a year ago, and while the facade is somewhat to be desired, it conceals what I consider to be quite a gem. Actually the outside is great because it keeps out the riff-raff suburban tourists. Burgers were large and well made, good variety on the menu. Chips are SO much better than fries anyway. One complaint: Just wish it were a teensy bit bigger!

Poor Delivery
Should you ever get your food from this place--prepare for the worst. Sandwiches arrive cold with the bread sopping wet. The baked potatoes also cold. They seem to place little value on delivery orders.

Island Burger Rocks!
It's a perfect hideaway when you are horny for burger. No fries, chips! BYOB makes it even better (Hit the liquor store across the street....)

Bigger is definitely not always better.
The burgers are bland! A big clump of meat on some bread! (eww) No flavor at all. The Best in New York Never! I prefer Big Nick's or the Burger Joint... mmmm

Good food, no fries
The chicken sandwiches are better than the burgers here, which are always well done and not especially flavorful. The toppings are creative, varied and tasty, however (Sans Spud and Will's are great choices) and serve to elevate the bland burger base. Of course, no fries for your side here, but the dirty potato chips are a decent substitute. A good choice.

the best!
The best burgers in the city, by far. Amazing chicken to boot. Perhaps the only thing lacking is leg room at the cramped tables... A must must must.

you'd think that...
a place specializing in hamburgers could cook my burger medium. i swear i said medium but what arrived was well-done (or beyond -- dun duh duh!!!). i'd take burger heaven, corner bistro, e. 4th st. bar, or even wendy's over this place once you consider the price. sorry folks.
