    Slow Service

Our first time for dinner. 7:30 reservations, seated right away, the waiter came by and asked about drinks, dropped off menus, then disappeared for 1/2 hour. We waived him down to order. The salads came quickly, the main courses took 40 minutes after the salads were delivered. The meal took almost 2 hours on a Monday night without a dessert. The food is not special enough for the poor service. Prices are on the high side. There are too many other choices to eat at in the UWS.

    train your waitstaff

it is annoying when the waiter /waitress comes over to remove plates when half of the guests are still eating. Those eating feel rushed and embarrassed. How easy for them to tell the staff to do otherwise. You spoil an otherwise pleasant experience. Training matters.

    Delicious but pushy!

Huge Isabella's fans here... however, what is with the waiters heckling customers into the pricier options on the menu? It's pushy, bordering on downright obnoxious. And $3.50 for a soda! With no refills! In a 8 ounce glass! Preposterous. If their food wasn't so great, we wouldn't come back. That being said, we're about to make a reservation for tonight :)

    See for yourself

I have never been for brunch - so I was surprised to see all the poor brunch reviews when I have had nothing but delicious meals with good service at lunch and dinner. It sounds like brunch is a busy time - if that bugs you, don't go (I don't). I suggest you have lunch or especially dinner and see for yourself; I especially recommend a gnocchi special I once had, their salads, lobster/shrimp appetizer, and short ribs.

    bad drink

we stopped in for a drink before dinner. the place was empty. we mentioned we were there for just a drink and they made us feel like they were doing us a big favor by giving us a table - said they would ask us to leave if the place got crowded (we know better than to sit there nursing a drink if there is a line to get in!) anyway, one of our drinks was made incorrectly and they were not very nice about acknowledging it. wouldn't go back based on the snobby treatment we received.

    Greeeaaaattt French Toast!

We were an hour late for our reservation because of an accident, and they were very understanding and pushed us up and got us a table very quickly. It was a little crowded, but it doesn't get outrageously loud or anything, and I was there for sunday brunch. My banana french toast was the best i've ever had, and everything i asked our waitress was done within 4 minutes. good service, really cute place, great food.

    Poor service/food

Drinks are small and overpriced. Our server disappeared at the end of the night, and the two hostesses didn't say anything to us as we left. My salmon was fishy tasting. My friend got this pasta called straw and hay, what a joke! It tasted like something a college kid would whip up in his dorm room! Don't waste your cash.
