    Creative food and friendly service

    Though the wait is often long (even when you go and pick up take out), the staff is ALWAYS friendly and the sushi is ALWAYS fresh. They also offer some unusual meals or sides. The vegetable sushi platter came with unique sushi combos, not just teh usual roles. The rainbow naruto roll was a great option in you want a sushi roll without the rice (it is rolled with cucumber). And when we ate in, they gave us FREE spring rolls to help ease the wait. I recommend it even with the sometimes long wait, just plan for the delay unless you are getting food at off hours.

    Great for take out

    I'm a regular take out customer at Iron Sushi. The rock shrimp tempura is exceptional the the shrimp tempura and vegetable dinners are always good and Iron Sushi gives more for the money then other restaurants in the area. They are always friendly and offer me tea while I'm waiting

    Good value, slow service

    The rolls were fairly large and good value, but the night was ruined by the slow service. The restaurant was not packed, but it still took over an hour to receive our food. The chefs only started putting our order together when I bugged the waitress. I think they were too focused on putting together carry out orders. They need to set their priorities and take care of their in house guests. I may give the place one more try because of the solid meal and hope that they impress me.

    The Best

    We order Iron Sush at least 3 times a week, The rolls are to dire for (especially the Mango Shrimp Roll) and everything else is quite tasty as well. The portions are big and the prices is average for great fresh sushi. A must-do for anyone who loves fresh, creative food.

    Not Recommended

    I ordered delivery from here twice. First time it took about forty-five minutes but the food arrived hot like it's supposed to be, gyoza was small but otherwise it was good. The person who took my order had trouble understanding English. The second time she did a better job understanding my address and said it'll be 20-30 minutes for delivery. Well the food arrived again 45 minutes later, however this time the soup was lukewarm and the food was cold. Apparently the delivery guy took a leisurely stroll.

    Great rock shrimp and different rolls

    The rock shrimp appetizer is amazing! Whatever sauce it is in is so good. They have a great variety of new and different rolls I highly recommend the New Orleans roll and mango shrimp roll. We have never had a problem with service or food quality. Best sushi on the UES!

    Inconsistent quality

    Went there on a not so busy Saturday... their spider roll was cold and soggy.... tasted like a leftover from previous night. Everything else was fine though... except for the fact that when I complained about the spider roll, they didn't offer to replace it or take it off the tab.
