I went to Iron sushi with friends and we ordered a bunch of interesting rolls and they were all so unique and amazing! I really enjoyed the banana tempura and spicy tuna roll, among many others. I will definitely be coming back again!

It doesn't get any better than this! Is Iron Sushi comparable to Nobu, Megu, or Sushi Yasuda? No. Is it better than Haru and other neighborhood locales with bigger prices and intensive scenes? Absolutely. Absolutely the freshest local sushi...our favorite!

My wife and I love sushi. We have lived all over the upper east side (80s, 70s, and 60s) and have tried many places but Iron Sushi is by far the best. The prices are affordable, the sushi is tasty, and they have an amazing variety of specialty rolls. Some are quite big and filling but many are also reasonably sized. All are delicious. As someone who usually orders the standard Tuna roll, salmon roll, California roll, etc... I was blown away when I started trying some of their more interesting rolls. (dreamy goat, volcano roll etc...). Dont miss the sweet potato tempura roll. you wont be sorry. We haven't experienced any problems with service. In person, the service is increadible. And even though they are brisk on the phone (they are clearly busy), they keep your phone number on file so you only have to give your address once (the first time you order) and the food comes quickly.

I had heard a whole lot of good things about this place but I was quite underwhelmed. The sushi was nothing spectacular, nothing you couldnt find at 30 other places within walking distance. We ordered one of their specialty rolls and it was basically rice loosely wrapped around the magic ingredients. As soon as I began to eat it I wondered if I could skip out on the check. Not only that, but when we got the check it was something like $80 for two people, some rolls and maybe 3 drinks. Kind of ridiculous and not worth your time.

Needed a cold supper idea for a brutally hot evening. After reading the reviews, decided to try Iron Horse for takeout before heading home to entertain guests. The Sushi/Sashimi combo is a terrific value--very fresh, very large portions. I also ordered several rolls, which were also very large and wonderfully seasoned. I will go back again-- the entire bill for almost more than we could eat was under $40!!

The food here is always very good and the service is apparently always very poor. we have eaten there 2 times and ordered in 3 times. The last 2 times we ordered in they really messed up the order. Once they finally made things right after a 10 minute conversation with 2 different people over the phone the food is very good. I am for the most part a patient person but I can say that I finally have had enough with the consistently poor service we have recently experienced.

Iron sushi, despite its gimmicky name, really serves some seriously fresh fish. A meal starts with a complimentary spring roll. "On the house," the lovely Japanese staff remind you. The salmon and yellowtail are always extremely fresh. I happen to adore Iron Sushi's version of Nabeyaki Udon, which is richer than most I've tried -- do they use onions? -- and swaps the fish cake for a handsome serving of crabmeat. Delish. If you live around here, you can't go wrong with this place. The prices are very fair. It's a wonder they're not busier.
