    Very satisfied

Iron Sushi isn't the greatest sushi place, but for the price, you really can't expect it to be. I do think that it is really good sushi, and especially for the price. Also, take-out/delivery sushi is often not that great, but Iron Sushi has yet to let me down. I have become a regular and probably ordered from them about 30 times now, and been very satisfied. One time the Yellowtail was a little rank, but that was really my only bad experience. I try not to order the tempura rolls, but sometimes it is hard to resist the banana tempura and spicy tuna roll. So bad for you but so GOOD!

Not very good - Wouldn't go back

The sushi was just okay, not great. It did not taste as fresh or feel as tender as really great sushi can be. Also, the service was very inattentive. They gave me the wrong item but didn't offer to fix it (they gave me a yellowtail jalapeno roll instead of a yellowtail scallion roll -- inedible for me). The server was not rude, but she also didn't seem to care about us either -- just doing the bare minimum. Even if the service was fantastic, I wouldn't go back. The food just wasn't that good. The atmosphere is nice, but nothing special for New York.

    it's not good

I'm so dissapointed about the sashimi because it is not fresh at all.

    Save your money...

Nice atmosphere...wish the food matched. Fish was not too fresh and the service was lacking. There is a sushi restaurant every 5 feet on the UES. Make sure you skip this one.

    *sigh* loyal customer disenchanted

Ok so I used to be an extreamly loyal customer like 60$ worth of sushi twice a week and I must say that Ive just given up on them and switched. The fish used to be much fresher and the food used to taste better they have just become quite inconsistant as of late and the sushi quality is just not there anymore. I am loath to even say this but I ordered two pieces of toro there the other day and it came out semi frozen.

    Sushi seemed unfresh

I decided to try this restaurant with my bf since the rating was pretty high. You would think 4 stars is really 4 stars. We ordered the simplest sushi - salmon, yellowtail, tuna and a couple of rolls. I have to say, I'm not a professional critic on sushi, but I can distinguish between good and bad. The sushi here was in warm temperature, it was not fresh. The service was great, maybe because there were only a few tables needed to be waited on. I didn't try the cooked food, maybe that's a different story. My lesson learned here is that never try to save a few bucks on sushi, next time I'm going down to Soho or the East village for some genuine freshness.
