    Totally worth the wait!!

Simply, one of the best Ramen places in the city. Awesome food. Totally worth the long wait.

    Tasty despite the wait

We had to wait for over an hour to get a table. I know it's a bit much but we had a friend in town who hadn't been there in years so we wanted to make his wishes come true.... The wings are divine...slightly spicy, very flavorful. The pork buns were like little clouds of love and the ramen, oh the ramen. It was sincerely worth it and I'm definitely hooked. They just need to make the place bigger or find another location. Share the wealth!

    Cupcake Fiasco

This is my first review on Menupages, but unfortunately there are no accolades for Ippudo. I've been coming here for ramen, since I moved to NY about 2 years ago; but yesterday, I abruptly left the restaurant when management decided to slap me with a surcharge of $4/person for eating a cupcake in their restaurant. No one gave me a warning, but they just automatically added the ridiculous surcharge to my tab. I went late in the afternoon, and did not have to wait for a table, but for some reason, things were extremely in the kitchen. I mean, come on, it should take 5 minutes to bring out a bowl of ramen. I was starving and the only thing to stave off my hunger were the cupcakes that I bought from Butter Lane. I asked if, instead, I could order an appetizer or drinks, but they didn't even give me the option. Moreover, I think it's annoying when this "policy" was not listed anywhere on the menu. The manager on duty said management is allowed to do whatever they please, but shouldn't they, instead, try to please the customers? Afterall, you are paying $15 for a bowl of peasant food. So fellow ramen enthusiasts, beware! Go elsewhere to fill that void .

Yummy - I cant stop obsessing!!

Ever since I've eaten @ this place for dinner and hearing the raves about it from so many people, I see what it's all about! It's so good and I can't stop thinking about the next time I go there! Pork buns are really good....buns are super soft and meat in there is tender (even though it's fatty but you're not eatting it all the time) and delicious! Their Modern Ramen is amazing and I was told they make their own noodles fresh every day! Making their own ingredients, no wonder the food is so good! Only down side, they don't take reservations and the wait is SOOOOO LONG! I arrived early on a friday, around 6pm and waited for 1hr+. So many people were already waiting when I got there...but it's so worth it!

    Tonkotsu Ramen & Specialties

Be early because the queue starts before opening time (for dinner) and it is common to wait at least 30mins to an hour before you get your table. The servers inside the restaurant are nice but the 2 standing there to take down your name (and that's when you "join the queue") are curt (and hence, i knocked 1 point off my service rating). If you're here for their famed ramen, choose from their tonkotsu soup options. The other soup bases are ordinary. We thought their Hirata Buns weren't that special. But their Mizuna & Kinoko Ohitashi, Eihire Yaki and Renkon Hasamiage were decent. We'd definitely be back for their Samurai Rib and Beef Tendon With Butter Sauce and a ramen in tonkotsu soup, of course! :)

    Best Ramen Ever!!

Ate at Ippudo today and was amazed!! It was the best ramen I have ever had!! Noodles had an amazing texture, and the broth was hearty and flavorful!! Appetizers such as the pork buns might be a bit pricey, but if you stick with the ramen, you and your wallet will be pleased!!

    Yumm!

It's a great place to bring family, (child friendly) dates, friends, and more. The food here is heavenly! The wait before meals is sometime close to an hour, but but its well worth your wait! They specialize in noodle soup AKA ramen. While your there take the opportunity to try their mouth watering appitizers!
