    Not recommended

I came here with a party of 4 and we all ordered different dishes. However, three out of the four looked and tasted exactly the same - All were mystery seafood drowned in a runny cream sauce, laced with what appeared to be hot dog relish. The waiter did not know how to clear a table and dropped my dirty cutlery on me and spilled sauce on another member of our party. We were out to celebrate and all tried laugh it off, but it was painfully unpleasant.

    Excellent food & value

We had a terrific anniversary dinner at Ipanema. The service was excellent and the food hot, plentiful, and delicious. I have recommended this restaurant to others.

    Slow Service

I went here on a Saturday night. There was no line to get in so that was good, but the food wasn't good. The portions were however big and the seafood dishes that other people in the restaurant ordered looked good, but we ordered the meat dishes. I found it over cooked and the service was really slow. We had finished our meal and it took over 10 minutes for them to clear our table and then another long wait for our check to come. Couldn't believe it took so long!

    Good Food, Good Value

Had dinner here last evening and it was excellent! I had a glass of sangria, codfish croquettes as an appetizer, grilled marinated pork chops in a special wine and garlic sauce, all accompanied w/black beans and white rice. Portions are generous - I took 1/2 of it home w/ me. Service was wonderful. I was dining alone (single/female), weekday evening, 630PM, and I received every courtesy that every other table w/groups, couples, etc. received. The bill was only $27, which I consider excellent and affordable. If you want good food and friendly/affordable service this is a great place. I intend to return!

    What the la?

I dont know why this place was hyped up so much on city search. I thought the food was horrible with exception to the passion fruit dessert-which is out of this world! The appetizer and entree were greasy and nasty! Not the best.

    Excellent Service Overall

The waiter had clearly tried every dish on the menu and was extremely knowledgable! We took a chance on this restaurant and it was fabulous! Food was great but service was outstanding! JPG and GBM

    A must try!

Ipanema's paelha is the absolute best I've ever tasted... there was so much shellfish, that my dining partner and I could not even finish all the lobster in it. And it was a steal at $20.95 for a single order. The only problem was how loud the restaurant got, even with it not being completely full.
