That place was crowded for a good reason. I never had Brazilian food before so I had nothing to compared to. Everything was good nonetheless, the seafood, the steak, the fried plantains, potatoes were all good. The only thing that was off was the crab meat appetizer, it reminded me of tuna melt, so i don't think that's a good thing. I would go back...

Ipanema is a great place to eat. The staff is so friendly and the food is beyond incredible. The service is fast and reliable and I always feel at home when I eat there. Five Stars!

Simly outstanding. One of the best restaurants in the City! I suggest trying the picanha, coconut shrimp or grilled prawns, but everything is very well prepared. The service is friendly and attentive. The value is unbeatable for New York.

The food was great but seems waiters don't speak English very good.

Impressed by the menu and atmosphere. Service was a little slow but the food made up for it.

Went there with my boyfriend when on vacation and loved it. The service was phenomenal, the owner is right alongside the waitstaff greeting customers and helping serve. BF got the paella which was monsterous but flavourful. I had another seafood dish with the green sauce which was just as wonderful. The place is a bit small, so we made reservations but didn't really need them. The drinks are strong, the food is amazing, and the service is fun and excellent. Would definitely go there again.

I love this restaurant. The food is wonderful. I'm addicted to the Vatapa. I must have it at least once a week. Staff is friendly and warm. This restaurant is has become a neighborhood place, where everyone knows your name. The main courses are a bit pricey, but they give you so much food it's like two dishes.
