I've been going here for some time now and the food is just amazing. The specials are always worth every penny, and the grilled octopus starter is especially good. They always ask before refilling your cup and are there the second you take the last sip, which is great if you mostly stick to water like me, but can get a bit pricey if you enjoy a more expensive wine and arn't paying attention. The atmosphere is a sort of mix between the bar and restaurant area since they are right up against one another, but I've personally never had a problem. Yes, one of the waiters is still learning English as some prior reviewers have noted, but he is far from incompetent. He has never once mixed up a single order and we are a big party who order a lot of food at once. Recently however he has learn much more English and rarely has any difficulties at all. Speaking of their employee, their normal bartender makes amazing mixed drinks, and has some neat suggestions for different meals. So, if you arn't the type to let a slight language barrier ruin your entire life, this is a must go.

My husband took my family and friends there for my birthday it was amazing the staff was wonderful my water glass was never empty the food was delish the atmosphere was delightful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great service, food and at a great price I would definitely go back again

Popped by on a whim this past Saturday - loved it. Great wine selection and manager is very knowledgeable. Relaxed atmosphere - romantic, but not overdone. We only sat at the bar and had a couple snacks, so I can't speak to the full menu, but it looked delicious. My BF and I already have plans to return. **note, the hilarious manager is new. if you've had a bad experience in the past, give it another whirl.

I will never dine at this place again. Initially my date and I sat outdoors and were harassed by two bums lingering in the area. When we moved inside the dark atmosphere loud atmosphere was nothing short of obnoxious. The restaurant was near empty and the non English speaking waiter paid us little attention. The food was nothing to speak of either. Even the hostess seemed annoyed when we asked to move inside because the outdoor dining area was unbearable. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Aside from their unlucky location by all the subway construction, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air in the UES area. The venue is very clean and elegant inside and the serving staff was helpful and outgoing. The food was delicious as was the wine!

The place is to dark I can see my food, wich was at the table 30 minute after my order. The music to laud and mostly ip pop.....The server don't speak English and is incompetend..in other words a DISASTER!!!!
