Great place! Awesome wines and cheeses

I was curious to see this place after reading very mixed reviews. Overall I loved it! I have never been a fan of italian wines and italian food in general, but this place is not very typical - you will not see anything with red sause here, and chianti and pinot grigio are not on the list....The selection of wine here is quite amazing, very unusual and just excellent, coming from small places in the Italy. probably one of the best wine by the glass selections that I have seen in the city. Prices range between $7-12, which is reasonable. Getting wines by the glass makes sense here, because they pour generously, and even let you taste first! And you would want to try more than one wine, that's for sure. The selection of cheeses is outstanding - and so is the service; as we weren't sure which cheeses to order, we asked the waiter to pick 5 for us (out of close to 100 choices), and all of them were superb. Many other finger food and paninis are available. Not too many "entrees" per se, but you will NOT leave the place hungry - especially if you still have room for deserts, which we awesome! It came out to be $60 per person, which included 2-3 glasses of wine which we each had, a ton of food, deserts and a generous tip! Will definitely go back. my only complaint is that the place is pretty loud... but it didn't really matter all that much... we were all very happy :-)

    Chic corner

Good for people watching and conversation, not so good if you're starving. The owners are really nice and there is a pleasant vibe.

Fun for groups, not your wallet

This place is fun if you have a large group of people and you want to sit around and drink wine and snack on finger foods. You could do that at your own apartment for less money. If you are looking for a place to have dinner, this is the wrong spot. The portions are very small and too expensive. I came in hungry and left feeling like I needed to grab a slice of $2 pizza before I went home.

    Fun for large groups

The food is like rustic Italian tapas, as we did a tasting menu of small plates, and it was wonderful and incredibly filling, for not a horrible amount of money with lots of wine. Very cramped and crowded, with people at the bar spilling onto your table, but it is a really unique experience when you're in a raucous dinner/party mood. And the waiters are wonderful.

    Not Fair

I'm no granola connoisseur. Nor am I a granola snob. But when I sit down to enjoy a light brunch--of granola--I expect a little more than just a bowl of broken--wait for it--granola bars! The audacity! 'inoteca's disdain for their granola consuming clientele is so great that they didn't even feel the need to disguise their lack of care. This is evidenced by the large, square-edged chunks sided in an uncomfortably small bowl by some slightly sour yogurt. But how was the fruit, you ask? A ha! Not a single slimey strawberry; nary a slice of orange; not a single out of season berry! Oh, and my comrade had the truffle toast. She thought it was too small. Which it was. Finis.

    Sexy Sundays

I enjoy coming here for a sunday brunch with sidewalk seating. Great people watching.

    Unique, Unbelievable, Enchanting

We came here by chance as our other reservations fell through. 'Inoteca is a very unassuming nouveau rustic atmosphere with wine bottles lining the walls and a friendly staff. The food is beyond compare! I love trying different cuisines, but every dish I tried at 'Inoteca was totally unique and delicious. The dishes are all on small plates, so you can try 2-3 different things and walk out extremely satisfied for a very reasonable price. Recommended: chianti, polenta with walnuts and brussel sprouts, egg toast, and calamari. I'll be back very soon!
