    amazing

Went for breakfast on a sunday at noon - not overly crowded, amazing food, great service and pottery barn'esq decor. Will def. become a regular.

Food was impressive- Service not so much

I went in a group of four for a dinner tonight at inoteca and I don't normally write reveiws but felt compelled this evening because I have truly never encountered such hostile, passive aggressive service in New York City in my life. Our wine steward was reasonable and tried his best but the hostess and some of the other staff were quite condescending and impolite beyond description here. Our food was good and some of the dishes were more than palatable but, it was truly one those rare occasions that an otherwise boisterous evening was dampened by some unkindly and inattentive wait staff. Normally, I feel I am reasonably sympathetic to servers as they have to deal with so many difficult and picky New Yorkers, but it should be noted that this kind of service will only drive business away. I could not in good conscience recommend this place to any of my friends.

    Cool spot and fab wine

I hadn't enjoyed a glass of Nero D'Avola in a while, so I was pleased to find this deliciously fruity Sicilian red on the menu at 'inoteca. Our waitress was friendly and funny. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of Ludlow and Rivington passers-by, er, passing by. We didn't order food because we went somewhere else for dinner, but the cheese list looks phenomenal so I hope to do some sampling next time.

    service?

I love inoteca and the food is always phenomenal, but service is lacking. A bartender should be friendly and not act as is if its an inconvenience to talk to customers. I'll definitely, but I'll wait for a table next time.

    Great LES spot

Had a great experience at 'inoteca. Only 1 complaint - we had a much longer wait than originally told, but it didn't matter - we got wine at the bar and had good conversation with friends. It's a small, crowded NYC restaurant after all. Food was excellent, waiter really knew his stuff. We ordered a meat plate & cheese plate, and had him pick some of the selection - we had a great variety of both. You absolutely positively must order the Truffle Egg Toast as an appetizer!! We all were extremely happy with our meals (and stuffed) and had a great time. Hostess was nice, waiter was nice, great food/wine, great atmosphere. Music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear conversation. Will definitely go back & recommend it.

    Favorite Place

Wow! Put it this way, we've gone for breakfast - had a glass of wine and then ordered lunch ... it's that good! I'noteca has the perfect combination of food, value and service that all restaurants strive for. The food is AMAZING -- even for Veggie's like us, we have not gotten bored with the menu. The lazagnette de Melanzatta is just too good - I get it for dessert! The cheeses and wines are excellent! Price wise - you get so much for your money.. for what you would spend without wine at another place, here you can have a glass and be have the same outcome .. yesterday we were 4 people with wine, food, dessert cheese plate & tip for $150 -- for a beautiful restaurant with great food that is VERY reasonable. Staff - being one of the most picky people we know - who writer resteraunts off the list for almost any reason - we have not had a single sub-par experience here. Everyone is nice and easy going EVERY TIME. You will not be disappointed. GO!
