    A happy surprise

I was slow in trying this restaurant because of the 5$ tag on your screen. It turned out that the lunch was excellent and, with the cost of beer, not much over $20. I had a roast chicken that was first rate. Before that, they brought out a portion of wonderful hard-crusted bread with a generous slab of butter. This is on the short list of places that I will return with my wife when we have the time.

    Best Argentine restaurant in NY

I must say this is one of the best Argentine restaurants in NY. Being an Argentine myself, I know how hard it is to find a good Argentine restaurant. This is it. They use Uruguayan free range cattle. If you know your meat, that's high quality meat. For all you Argentine's out there, they don't have lomito sandwiches and their empanadas are ok. They're not like the ones in Argentina. Other than that, great desserts and great wine selection. Overall, great menu. Highly recommended!

    Terribly disappointed

My husband and I ate here last Friday night, we have been to several Argentine restaurants in the city, and by far, the food here was the least impressive. Maybe it was an off night in the kitchen. But our mixed grill parrillada for two (which we love to order in all Argentine restaurants) was just inedible. The strips of skirt steak were so thinly cut that they were just charred to a crisp. The sweetbreads were chewy, not crispy on the outside, smooth on the inside. The chorizo was greasy, the morcilla was the only edible thing on the platter. Everything was so overcooked and charred, we were so disappointed. After spending well over $100 that night, we left the restaurant hungry, with all of the meat still left on the plate. We didn't make a fuss, just told them the meat was charred to a crisp, and they didn't care. We left, terribly disappointed and craving some good skirt steak and sweetbreads.

One of the best meals I have ever had

Everything we had was superb! I went with two very fussy eaters (including myself) and we were savoring every morsel. Even the desserts were out of this world. I loved everything about it and can not wait to return. Enjoy!

    Great Atmosphere

Although the food is very good, the atmosphere is even better.

Was a little scared to try this place...

Given the reviews on the bad service, I was hesitant to take a large party here for a business dinner but I thought I would give it a shot. It did not start out well. It was a hot day and the a/c was not working very well. However, once we sat down in the back of the restaurant, the a/c was working much better. The food and service were great. They really catered to our needs. The pork was amazing and the steak was really tender and juicy. The wine [select]ion is pretty good. I would definately go back.

    Pleasant lunch.

I have avoided this restaurant because it usually seems busy and a bit "hip" for my generation in the evening. We tried a late lunch there yesterday. Both the skirt steak and the salmon with mango were very tasty. A nice find for a neighborhood restaurant.
