we've been going there since it opened. the food is wonderful and well spiced. they have a wonderful array of vegetarian entrees and their tandori is always moist and never overdone. it's a neighborhood staple.

Excellent food. I go here all the time and the lunch Prix Fixe was enough food to share with two people. They have an aexcellent mango lassi as well, it's well worth the walk from Columbia, and I think it's one of the best located so far up town in Manhattan. In fact, going to other places, this is the best place I've found, almost bar none!

There are much better Indian restaurants out there - our food was good, but not delicious and our masala tea was nothing short of subpar. Service was good and it was a nice enough place, but you could really do a lot better.

Indus Valley would be a stand out no matter where it was located in Manhattan. We've eaten there many times and find it consistently excellent. Space could be more comfortable, and drinking glasses would be improved considerably management they switched to glass.

I was walking up Broadway looking for a new place to eat and went to Indus Valley. The food was served quickly, tasted wonderful, and the service was great. The garlic naan had way way way too much oil on it, and the food seems very heavy. My only complaint was my drink...I ordered a scotch on the rocks with a splash of soda, and I got a scotch and soda cocktail in a highball! Not the best bar, but great food. Also priced right.

Pleasant atmosphere and great service. Food was tasty and presented beautifully. We had several chicken dishes and one lamb dish...each uniquely different. The bread basket was yummy and the sauces so varied we couldn't choose a favorite. We took the take out menu for our local family member and will come back when we pass through this way in August for the OPEN. They deliver!

The restaurant was very nice and service was great. I had the lamp kabob which was little tough but good flavor. I think you will not have a bad experience here but I had better Indian food (especially in San Fran for much cheaper). I guess it really depends on each individual preference. I think the food here is toned down to match the western taste buds. I think most people will enjoy dining here.
