    Best Indian in the City

I have frequented this joint since it first opened and it has consistently been the best indian food I have ever had. The service is always warm and friendly (they gave my mom the recipe to one of their deilicious cauliflower appetizers even). I highly reccommend this place.

    Where's the beef/chicken/fish???

The smallest portions I've ever sampled in a NY Indian restaurant. I had fish tikka marsala. They claim that it's salmon. But 4 small pieces???? That, the spinack/goat cheese and Nan - $40 plus tax and tip. I don't think so.

    Good high end Indian

This place is more than your average spot on the corner, it's a nice place to go for dinner. They are attentive with water service and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is very good, I highly recommend the Chicken Zafrani. It is a rich and delicious cashew sauce that is to die for, the only minor criticism is that the chicken chunks are a little too big. The Lamb Sagwala is also good and they have really tasty rice. The Chana Masala was a little too spicy for me. Good delivery too.

    Too little Too expensive

My son and I ate there last week . The service was good, the waiters were very warm and cheerful, the food was fine but I wont go there again as the portions are too small and too expensive I have lamb vindaloo and my son has shrimp curry (He said: Mom only 3 shrimps!)

    Over cooked shrimp curry

I was indus valley yesterday, we tried shrimp curry and chicken tikka masala was under my expectations. It was not what it use to be. We also tried the vegetable biriyani to much vegetables not enough rice. It is out of my favourite restaurant.

    favorite indian restaurant

This is by FAR the best Indian food I've had in NYC. I highly recommend it. I am moving out of the neighborhood, but will travel for it! Absolutly delicious!
