I've ordered delivery from here consistently for a year and agree that the food is very good. I will submit though that delivery of small portions of Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Sagwala should cost $48 with a fair tip. At close to $50 I would expect more food than enough for 1 1/2 people.

i have had my sushi, thai, italian, burger, greek, sandwich, chicken, south american, and chinese "go-to" delivery restaurants carved in stone but never an indian place. i have no clue why it took me 4 years of living on the UWS to find this place but i am happy I finally did.

This is the best Indian food on the upper west side. We order Indian food four times a month and every time we experiment with a new restaurant we are disappointed. The food is well cooked and prepared, using quality ingredients. In order to be neutral, I gave it an atmosphere rating of 3 since I have never been there, so it may be better or worse. I hope you enjoy your experience as much as we have.

I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back another special occasion. Pricey but did' t mind because everything was exceptional, especially the food

I ate here about 6 months ago and I still think of this place as the poorest indian food I have ever had - actually it was just bad food in general. I lived in India for a year and although I have lower expectations here in the States, this place was just plain awful. The rice was mush, the chicken tikka was in a sauce that had the flavor/color/taste of ketchup. The service and decor was average. Pakoras at the beginning of the meal were greasy but at least edible. I was thoroughly unimpressed and was shocked to see the high marks this place got from other people. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I must say that I am a customer of Indus and from time to time order in. The only drawback is their delivery time and proper fulfillment. They do need to polish it up. Because the cuisine is exquisite I give it 5 stars. But please be sure you don't pay the delivery man until you've checked your order.

Indus valley is a high quality Indian restaurant. Food is always excellent and only a little more expensive then average. very clean and friendly place. Try the garlic shrimp for appetizer
