My father is Indian and I have been to India 5 times. That makes me no expert, but I probably have a leg up on the average honky. These guys do a really solid job taking the fear out of Indian food. They use quality cuts of meat that are trimmed properly for each dish. The flavors are sharp and spicy, but not hot. That distinction is very imporant to authentic Indian food. The Biryani is excellent and all the standards are two notches above the rest (tikka masala, tandoori, vindaloo etc). It is about 30 or 40 percent more expensive than the cheap Indian delivery, but if you are going out to eat then it falls right into the moderatly priced category. Easily worth the extra 5 or 10 bucks.

Very good Indian food. Tasty, cant complain on that, but pricey. Can't afford very often though would like to. I and my friends at work often order Indian food in this locality, we work in the vicinity.

I went to Indus Valley with my family for early dinner. The service was good. They were very attentive and cordial. They came back often to see how we were doing. We ordered samosas. Not good. The outside was burning hot and the inside was cold as ice. We sent them back and where given a fresh, much better tasting order. For Dinner we each ordered something different. I orderd the Chilean Sea bas Tandori. I didn't care for it, but the rest of my party loved everything they ordered. So it was good, but not the very best. Oh the lemonade was really good. More of a Limeade. It reminded me of a Mojito without the rum.

It's not romantic to eat there, but if the food is so great, how can you care that much? we've tried all the other indian places in the neighborhood, especially for delivery because indus valley is a bit pricier than the others. but we have learned our lesson....there's just no place better. indus valley is delicious. so it is a great value. and when you eat there, the staff is quite pleasant. you can't beat their chicken tikka masala or the palak paneer!

The Chicken Tikka Masala is out of this world! It has a nice tangy taste. This place is a good change from other Indian restaurants. I would go back again and again. The atmosphere is nice and the waiters are superb! So what are you waiting for stop reading this review and go there!

I love Indian food and I can say this is THE BEST in NYC. The service is wonderful and the vegetarian dishes are some of the best I've ever had. The Palak Paneer is my favorite as well as vegetable Korma. Everyone should make it a point to try this place.

It is a bit more expensive than most Indian places in the neighborhood, but is also the best Indian food in the neighborhood.
