Indigo Indian Bistro

My girlfriend is dairy intolerant, which can present a problem with many restaurants. At Indigo, they made Nan with no butter, Chicken Tikki Masala and Rogan Josh with no cream! Clearly they make all their dishes from scratch for every customer. We love them. Being family operated makes the service feel very homey and comfortable.

If you make an online reservation on their website for the midtown location you get 15% off your bill. They gave us free veggie fritters instead of the dips and crispy crackers other Indian places tend to give. The entrees were very tasty and the service was excellent.

I have been going to Indigo for years -- even celebrated a major birthday there, with great success.:) The staff (hi, Kazi!) is unfailingly charming and helpful, and the food is excellent. It's also a warm and welcoming refuge in a city that can be neither. Indeed, I've often used Indigo as the living room my apartment doesn't have to entertain out-of-town guests. Some of my many favorite dishes include the black lentils, grilled shrimp, and roasted eggplant. The raita and chutneys are also delicious. And the prices are exceptionally reasonable. Indigo is, in short, a delightful restaurant in a cozy, unassuming venue. I feel lucky to have made its acquaintance.

My five friends and I have visited Indigo with a reservation online. For appetizers we chose, bhel puri, chaat papri and for main dishes we ordered tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, shrimp coconut curry, the eggplant dish and garlic naan. All the dishes were flavored perfectly. The service and food were both excellent. They provided us complimentary vegatable fritters and rice and on top of that we got a 15% discount off of our total bill because we made a reservation online. We will definitely visit them again, and highly recommend this restaurant.

Loved the food. We were looking for a moderately priced, quiet placed to eat dinner and we certainly found it. It was quietly located in the neighborhood. Being of Indian descent, we know and love our food! It was amazing and felt like we were eating more than quality food at home. Would go back again for certain!

Indigo is a part of our lives. For over two years, since moving to the neighborhood, we frequent Indigo. We have lunch at the buffet at least two or three time a month along with a frequent dinner. The food is always hot, fresh, tasty, and a great value.

Just had a very large party at the restaurant recently - and they were very accommodating with great service and food offerings. All of our guests thought the food was great tne the restaurant was nicely laid out and decorated.
