Delicious!
I was in the mood for some good Indian food and wondered where to order from. I always tap into menupages for ideas, as well as reviews...and so, I bumped into Indigo - oh what joy! I ordered a bit late - just before 3 p.m. and was still lucky enough to have had enough time to get my order in. The maitre'd was patient and although lunch time was over, took his time in taking my order. When my chicken tikka masala arrived, words could not truly express just how delicious the dish was - from the extremely tasteful and well seasoned chicken chunks in the hearty red gravy, to the buttery nan and the fragrant basmati rice - it was a bit of heaven in every mouthful. I haven't yet had the experience of dining at the actual establishment, but will be making the trip over very soon. Thanks Indigo and staff for your professionalism and most importantly for the care you take in preparing such scrumptuous dishes!

Best for the buck
We have been going to this restaurant since it was under a former name but with the same owners. The food is always fantastic and the service is impeccable. The owners go out of their way to make you feel at home and the new decor is soothing and beautiful. Whenever we have friends who say they like indian food we always take them there. We think it is the best in the city.

Best Indian we have had in ages
This indian food is sensational. We like our curries a little warmer than most and they were spot on - not too hot, not too mild. We ordered 2 meat dishes and one vego and all were great. Too bad we don't live here, otherwise we would be back over and over... Certainly we will return next time we are in NY NY.

A gem of a restaurant
This place is absolutely a gem. The service and the manager are extremely pleasant, and the food is excellent and very affordable. Highly recommended.

I'm now a regular here
Indigo is a small Indian restaurant tucked in on 50th and between 1st and 2nd. I live in the area and it is so nice to have a great Indian restaurant with a staff that is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and I recommend the grilled shrimp dish, along with the tikka masala. My boyfriend and I have become regulars here and are hoping the rest of the community has a chance to eat here. The prices are fine, especially for this area. The lunch buffet ($7.95) is well worth it!

Great food
A little expensive, but the food is great, consistent, and fresh. I've only enjoyed them at night, so I've never had the buffet. I've never been disappointed...the halibut is great.

Great Food
Have been there quite a few times and the food is always good...sometimes slow, definitely not cheap, but always great tasting. If you enjoy quality Indian, and you live in the neighborhood, you should try it..
