Mediocre Bangladeshi food
Although the restaurant has a cute ambience and the service generally good, the food was quite sub-par. Warning, this food is not Indian. It is a Bangladeshi which makes a big difference for real fans of Indian food. The food however was dirt-cheap, especially the daily buffet for $7.95.

Great neighborhood spot
I ususally go to Indigo for their weekend buffet which is fabulous and I highly recommend. Last night was the first night I went for dinner. We were served vegetable fritters to start with which was a nice surprise. We had lamb korma which was delicious, a chicken dish, nan and raita. The only complaint was that the chicken was not spicy at all. On the menu it says spicy and we told the waiter we did not want super spicy, just spicy. He probably got scared bc there was not a hint of heat in it at all. I also think the entree prices are a little on the expensive side and would probably go more often for dinner if they were cheaper. Service was great, water always filled, and friendly. Definitely my favorite indian in the area. Highly recommend, especially for the weekend buffet.

Lovely little place
This place has excellent service, which is unfortunately rare in most Indian restaurants. The owner comes to greet his regular customers. Aloo Chat and bhel puri was delicious, and the waiter gave us a sample of soy patties, which was nice. The vegetable korma, however, was disappointingly blend. There was no contrasting flavors whatsoever, and horribly overpriced at $13 for a korma. I really like the atmosphere, but I'm reluctant to spend that much for boring curry.

Excellent Indian food - a hidden gem
While I'd like it to stay a secret and never wait for a table, the owner and chef really deserve to have the word get out. The food here is top quality - better than any of the high end places on 58th St for more reasonable prices. If you like peppery, spicy chicken try the Chettinad Chicken... absolutely divine. My only minor complaint is the extreme disparity in prices between dining in and taking out. It winds up about twice as expensive to dine in which makes me order in at times I'd really rather go as the experience is top notch. The people are very friendly and the service is excellent. But, for great Indian food, Indigo is not to be missed.

Quiet...perfect...keep it a secret
A quiet restaurant on a saturday night. Excellent food, beautiful presentation. If they dimmed the lights and raised the music -but not too much- I'd say it's a perfect five...right now a perfect 4.9...go without fear whatsoever, you will love the sauces, the rice, the appetizers, the service...and most of all...the silence...
