    Why no flava flav?

We were sorely disappointed by the food here. The lamb was tough, and not one dish was remotely spicy (despite being decribed as "medium to hot"). We would have been prepared to sacrifice spice for flavor, but got neither.

The Restaurant Formerly Known as Poona

I'm one the pickiest--and most loyal--customers you will ever encounter. That said, I have been eating almost exclusively at Poona for about 10 years. About a year ago I found out that they had changed location and management. The food at the new location was still good, but the service and receptiveness of the staff was lacking. Yesterday, one of the original managers of Poona spotted me on the street and informed me that he had gone on to open his own restaurant--Indian Tanpura. I went there today with my girlfriend and have to say that everything I loved about Poona has been migrated to Indian Tampura, including the chef and a few staff members. I loved everything about it. This is now where my loyalty lies and I feel no guilt since, aside from the name, it's still the same restaurant I have been infatuated with for the past 10 years.

    Awesome Delivery

Great food, cheap & the guy on the phone speaks good English. Have ordered from here several times and it's always been good. Highly recommend the vegetarian dishes and you need to get a side of their hot sauce. The delivery is very fast too - bread always comes hot and fluffy.

    I couldnt stop eating

I ordered some Chicken Tikken Masala and coconut soup... I received 3 sauces to compliment the dish which were curiously delicious. I have no idea what they were, but it was damn good! I ordered this meal and it just hit the spot. What else can I say..

    Excellent!

I don't often order in Indian food but when I do it is always from this place. The people who answer the phone are friendly, courteous and helpful. The delivery is prompt and the food is excellent. It is reasonably priced and you get plenty for your money. Highly reccomended!

    Still crying...in a good way

Decided on this restaurant last night because I love spicy food, and was happy as a vegetarian to see that they offered Vegetable Vindaloo. The restaurant is small, but it is cozy and comfortable. Not fancy, but a nice clean place with kitschy decor. The service was very good, and extremely friendly. When I ordered the Vindaloo, the server warned me that it would be very hot, but I told him to make it as spicy as possible. Well, after 2 bites my eye's were watering, so I'm not sure what happened with the other reviewer that thought their dish was bland. It was delicious but I couldn't finish it, which is why I'm sitting here at work eating the leftovers, crying again. I also don't know what some people were complaining about when describing the Naan. I'm eating their day old Naan now and it is still fairly crisp and delicious. Not doughy at all. This is my new favorite Indian Restaurant, and I would highly recommend it!
