I like it
I've only had delivery from here but I have walked by and seen the place. Delivery is fast, the food is always good and the prices are reasonable. Their lamb vindaloo is excellent, along with the biryani rice, some raita and some nan and I'm in heaven. The food is always hot on delivery.

Unassuming and underattended UWS gem!
I've only had the delivery here after trying almost all of the UWS Indian places. I have to say that I am highly impressed. I had the Chicken Makhni and was really blown away by the balance and flavor. The only thing I am not in love with is the naan. It's good, but not great. The tandoori is easily as good as the more expensive competitors and the vindaloo has as much flavor as it does heat. In short, this is my pick for best UWS Indian.

don't recommend the shrimp
Don't order the shrimp here--they are tiny and unappetizing! The up side: Everything Meaty and Vegan. WOW their lamb is amazing--have had Shaag(yes Shaag though I know it as Saag), Tikka-Masala, etc. and all of it is amazing for reasonable prices. Even had the kheer during autumn and they made it with fresh pumpkin. A+++ Delivery is fast.

best indian on the upper west side
The service is great, the owner is affable and welcoming, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, the prices are way low, and the food is complex and amazing. Unfailingly always totally delicious!

Good Little Place
In my quest for what I would think is the best Indian Place In NYC. The Indian Tanpura is an un found little Gem in the Big Apple. It's such a cute little place the sevice was good and the food was as well, I read some of the other reviews and including the negative ones. My word to other people even if the reviews a bad be the judge for yourself. I really enjoyed my dinner last night, and I will go back and try it again. It's my new little spot.

amazing food
Even though the lamb korma isn't listed on their menu, ask for it. Its amazing. This place has amazing food and their saag paneer is very good as well as the mango lassi. The place is very small and it is usually empty. Its not very nice but the food is truly amazing.
