Authentic and delicious!
I am south Indian and my mom used to make dosas(Indian crepes) every weekend and I have been unable to find a place that can make them well but this place was great! I go back multiple times a week now since I live in the area. Chutneys are some of the best I've had , the coconut especially . Good portion sizes and great service. The coffee here is very good too, traditional south indian style. Highly recommended

Just "ok"
Read the reviews quickly and decided to give this place one more shot. I am not sure if friends are just writing for this place to get started but i was very disappointed. There are so many other places in the city to get quality doses and this one just doesn't cut it. I thought they were soggy and the chutneys they rave about were just "ok." I work around the corner and was looking forward to this place being my go-to during the week but unfortunately not gonna happen.

Amazing and authentic!
Dropped in there just to try out their dosas, a specialty of southern India that's similar to French crepes. The place is a tiny hole-in-the-wall but the service is so friendly and the food is amazing. Try the masala dosa (with a potato filling), the Kerala beef dosa (with a spicy beef filling). The dosas and the accompanying chutneys and sambar are very authentic (granted, the shrimp, beef & chicken dosas are not "traditional" varieties) and amongst the best I have had in NYC. The prices are very reasonable too. Loved the place!

Finally! Dosas in (almost) Soho! Good bye, Hampton Chutney!
I work in Soho on 6th Ave and was sad without any Dosas. The only Dosa available was whatever passes as a Dosa at Hampton Chutney. Dosas at the Indian Creperie are one of the best I have had in NYC. Since it opened, I go at least 2-3 times a week. Try the Rava Dosa. It is the best one I have had in a while. The only complain I have is the Beets the use for the vegetable dosa. It's just an unappetizing colour for a dosa filling. Hope this place is successful and stays around for a long time.

Delicious dosas, friendly staff
Since discovering this charming, if tiny, source of delicious South Indian specialties, I've had dosas (the "crepes") three times so far, and uttapam -- more of a pancake with vegetables or other additions -- once. The food is consistently fresh, scrumptious, and quickly prepared. The generous helpings of chutney that come gratis (a lovely, mild coconut one and a spicier tomato-based flavor) are wonderful, and they've recently added a small cup of mild vegetable curry (I think it's called sambar) on the side. I'm no expert on this cuisine, but I brought a friend who had lived in southern India and she gave it a rave review. The food is similar to what made the Dosa Cart on Washington Square South so popular, but so far there are no lines and you can sit down in a pleasant (if spare) space. Long may they serve in our neighborhood!
