The Best Vegetarian Indian Food
If you want great tasting Indian vegetarian dishes without heavy caloric creamy sauces then this is the place to get it. Nice vegetarian dishes, the food is consistently good but the portions are not consistent.

Always Excellent Food.
I am not sure what is up with the negative reviews, but personally this is the best Indian Food I have ever had (and yes I have been all over the country and London). The service is amazingly fast, beyond nice and helpful, and the price is very fair. This is one of my favorite places to eat and everyone I have ever taken there (which is quite a few people) agree it is the best Indian food they have ever had. I usually get the chicken mahkni or the chickpeas w/ spinach, both are amazing. While I am not sure what other people are looking for, I suggest you give it a try. I have never seen a disappointed patron.

nice place w unflavorful food
what can I say.... bland, bland, bland. The shrimp was a frozen concoction of yellow food coloring and yogurt and the goat was a life wasted.

Let me keep it 100 with the audience - Im a UWS native - this place not good! Its McIndian cuisine - service is okay - had the korma and it came out like white salted water.

Solid standby
I have only gotten delivery to this point, but the negative comments are really overblown. Being indian, I tend to be fairly picky about the food. Is it the best I had? No. But I think the food is better than solid. And some dishes, like the chicken biryani, are excellent.

good service, disappointing food
We went to this place thinking nobody could get chicken tikka masala wrong.... they did prepare the chicken and sauce well (not dried out, chicken really tender and juicy, sauce reasonably even, not too salty or anything), but the recipe was plain bad, the rice really bland (where's my butter and spices, hello?). I was so underwhelmed. Sorry to the people there, since they're always so nice!
