Nice vanderbilt ave place
I live really close by and love the food at this place. My fav. is the goan curries, very tasty. The decor is a little sub-par inside, but they have a huge backyard. Often we are the only people back there. The place seems to be empty a lot, but hey, you never have to wait. Their take-out is really fast too.

Solid
Solid all around, but a bit too pricey.

Best Indian food I have ever had
I am addicted to this stuff. I order their take out at least once a week. Its ridiculous. The Saag Panir, Chicken Tikki Masala and the Chana Masala are my favorite dishes. The reason I gave it a 3 for value is because I order it so much

People are just mean
Wow, what is wrong with people??! The person who posted before me must just be a very mean, vindictive person. I feel bad for him/her. So they had problems with your credit card. Who cares. Do you really need to go on menupages and give them a bad review? Get over it! People don't think about how they affect other people's lives. The food here is great. I've always loved it. It's cheap indian food. take it for what it is and you won't be "very disappointed". Don't listen to mean people like the one below. she'll just have to deal with her shame and bad karma.

Very Disappointing
I've ordered from here twice, and both times I've had an issue with my credit card. The last time I ordered, the delivery guy lost my credit card receipt. Although he was very apologetic, he was pretty useless. I called the restaurant and didn't get any help from them either. He didn't seem to realize that a lost credit card receipt could be a liability to me. The food is alright but not worth the hassle.

Changed for the worse
I've been a once-a-week customer for years, but no longer. Since the summer, India Place has changed into a completely different restaurant - and not for the better. Prices have gone up by $4 per entree, the quality of the food is consistently poor, and the new management is incompetent. I've heard the same laments from friends. Too bad, really. This had been a reliably decent restaurant. Now it's one of the poorest in the neighborhood.
