    Great food!

Fantastic food, great service!! Great hummus, lamb chops, bone marrow, salad. Not sure what other people are complaining about.

    Loud and poor service

Had lunch at Ilili a few weeks ago and thought the food was good - Went last night - waited 20 minutes for a waiter to take a drink order - then he disappeared -- the noise level is very loud - waited for the waiter - he didn't return -- I have never done this in my life -- I walked out...

LOVE this place and come here often but every once in awhile their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It is 5:30 and not crowded at ALL but I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes before I had to ask someone if I could order a drink though they did see me sitting there. I know I will come back but I do hope they read these reviews every once in awhile.

    What's the fuss about?

What is the fuss about Ilili? The food was quite mediocre. We have had more flavorful middle eastern cuisine at several other places in the city. And what's with all the lime? A little citrus flavor is always nice, but these guys carry it to the extreme - be it the hummus or the ice cream. The waitress gave my wife the check and made a grab for the check back before we could leave. This place is definitely overpriced for what it is. We won't be returning.

    wierd place, great good

the 'chamber-like' setup is a bit strange.. it feels like a more decorated version of the dim sum banquet halls. food is excellent though.. even simple things like chicken shish taouk were succulent and well balanced. undoubtedly the mezze steals the show.. brussel sprouts are divine, as is the mohammara. definitely give it a shot..

    First time, but not last

This was our first visit to Ilili, but it will not be the last. The service was excellent. Our glass of water was barely half full before a waiter was refilling it. Our server was very attentive and remained close to our table, he checked on us several times throughout our meal. Nice atmosphere, some noise but not overwhelming. Reservation recommended. The food was excellent. There is a section of the dining room where the tables may be a little too close for comfort for some people, but it will not ruin your dining experience.

We went to Ilili the other evening for the first time and really enjoyed it. We were with a group, so we stayed in the lounge area, which is spacious and fun. The food is excellent and good portion sizes. We ordered a bottle of Lebanese wine (wish I could remember the name) which was outstanding. The menu is a bit pricey, however well worth it because the food, wine, wait staff, ambiance - everything made for a fantastic evening. See you again soon.
