My friend and I went out to celebrate a new job and ended up at Ilili. I think the trick is to beat the dinner crowd rush (before 7:30). Angel was our server. He was extremely helpful and familiar with the menu. He made great recommendations. We had a variety of small dishes including the Arugala and thyme salad, Duck Schwarma and grilled octopus and Lamb belly. Hot pitas too. Service was attentive, food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Fresh Meadow cocktail. Like a taste of spring. Cucumber, lime and mint (with gin) and it went so well with all the food served. Once we finished the meal, the place was really hopping and started getting loud. Our timing was great and the evening was perfect. Thank you Angel!

Food was excellent! The fattoush salad was amazing and the mix grill was to die for! The service was good once you get your designated waiter, before it is bad. The vale of the food is a little overpriced because the portions are small. When you first walk in you feel like you are in a club, not a restaurant, because of the very loud music.

I attended my boyfriend's work party at this restaurant this week. I have Celiac Disease, so I am on a 100% gluten free diet for medical reasons and I am extremely sensitive to trace amounts. I never expect to be able to eat things at holiday parties, but I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if they were Celiac-friendly. To my surprise, they said, "Yes very! If you give us the name of your reservation we will let the chef and wait staff know that you will be there." Amazing! I've never come across this before. They also said that everything for the party has already been ordered but that there will be things I can eat. At the restaurant, I was introduced to a woman who seemed to be running the party. She showed me the appetizers that were gluten free that were already laid out and pointed me out to the wait staff. The waiters began walking around with trays of more appetizers, and to my surprise the woman came up to me with a small plate of three appetizers and said that the chef had prepared it for me gluten free! I got another plate later that night. And the chocolate truffles were naturally gluten free - and delicious! All of the food was incredible. One of my friends has a nut allergy, and the truffles had nuts in it. When he saw this, he turned to his girlfriend and politely reminded her that she couldn't kiss him if she ate it. Hearing this, the woman working the party brought them a beautiful plate of four truffles without nuts. Incredible allergen-friendly service. It was so wonderful that they went the extra mile to make me feel safe and comfortable. I was so happy that I was able to eat at a holiday party! It was a truly wonderful experience. I will definitely be going back to have dinner myself sometime. HIGHLY recommended.

I've enjoyed dinner @Ilili 3 times now, and the cuisine has not disappointed. It's the finest middle eastern kitchen i know. The only qualm i have is that the rooms sometimes become too loud on popular nights and you're better off not consulting the calorie app. I like small portions when the food is this rich. While sometimes the wait staff seem inexperienced, they work hard to make up for it.

Just fantastic - no criticism for this place! Food A++, Service - Even Better! Can't believe how great an experience and why more people aren't talking about this place (although both bar and restaurant are packed every time I've gone). If you love middle eastern food and love great service (who doesn't) treat yourself and go here!

I was eager to bring my family to try this restaurant and was VERY disappointed. Dining here ruined the night for my Aunt's birthday celebration. We tried various things on the menu: Branzino, Bass, Lamb Kebab, Prime Rib, Chicken and multiple items for starters. Our waitress was attentive but the host/hostess were not friendly or hospitable at all. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The ambience may be nice, but there are plenty of places in NYC that provide beautiful atmospheres.

I understand having to wait if you don't have a reservation and it's busy. What I don't understand is being told to wait in a half empty restaurant. After 20 minutes, we left and headed elsewhere. That will be my last visit to Ililli.
