Il Tesoro Ristorante

On the whole, the food is not interesting or worth the price. Linguini Vongole (white) had no flavor in the broth/sauce and the clams were too large. Ceasar salad was undersized and not well presented. Service sporadic although very attentive to filling water glasses. Veal with mushrooms was fine, not great.

Il Tesoro was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in NYC. From the amazing service, to the delicious food and romantic atmosphere, our dining experience was one we won't soon forget. My boyfriend took me there to celebrate my birthday and I am now trying to think of another special occasion we can go back to the restaurant for-it was just that good!

nice to have another 'special occasion' Italian in the area! Makes you want to dress up and mind your manners! Very good menu and food. Excellent service.

Don't think this is stuffy pretentious and super-pricey Primavera. Although the room looks the same, the food is Southern Italian home cooking, plenty of wines are affordable, and the welcome is wonderful. But the big plus is that the tables are far enough apart that we could talk without shouting. I'll go back again and again.

I went to Il Tesoro the other night with my boyfriend and everything we ate was amazing! I usually don't write reviews but we loved the food and atmosphere so much I had to mention it. Great place for a date or dinner with another couple.

Italian dinner and brunch on the weekend, we go to this special restaurant 2x a week and order take-out from them at least 1x a week, so happy to have quality and artistic non-boring food, the service has always been top list and friendly. They are new, but feel like old friends, always a pleasure with fair and reasonably priced food that keeps us coming back to try their whole menu. They just opened weekend brunch, and lovin it! Gracia IL Tesoro- Mi Amore!:)

I hated it here. I thought I would try out the new restaurant where my beloved Primavera once was. It all began w/ the waiters and went downhill from there. I had asked for my food to be warmed up, and they kept making excuses until finally i had to eat it cold. My husband was livid! To my taste, food wasn't up to par. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about how the food is great. Restaurant like this doesn't belong here on the UES-should be on west side or midtown where it would probably do well w/ tourist activity. Real NY's will not pay these prices. I don't understand
